A dozen male athletes at Shorewood High School put their best heels forward last week, vying for the chance to become Miss Shorewood. The tongue-in-cheek pageant helped raise funds for the Student Council Sister School project.

Repulsive. No son of mine would be allowed to do that.

Is there no other way to earn money, really? Absolutely disgusting, teen boys, I imagine some old chicken hawk was really enjoying himself.

I wonder how many of these boys will EVER grow up enough to be appropriately embarrassed.

Most will probably remain in the arrested adolescence mindset that is an essential part of the Progressive worldview.

When I was in High School during spirit week before homecoming we had “Dress as the opposite sex” day. It was hilairious. All the football players wore some old cheerleader uniforms that the school had and wigs.

It didn’t use to be considered cross-dressing or perverse when it was done for comical effect. Milton Burl and Flip Wilson would be called perverts today, when in fact it was rather innocent.

I remember back in probably first or second grade, or whenever it is when you are starting to read.

We were to sit in a circle and read parts from a book (or maybe it was a script for a play). Anyway, we were selected the day before for the parts. I was to read a girl’s part. Being a boy I didn’t care for that, and asked the teacher for a boy’s part. No luck.

The next day when we were to gather up in the circle for reading I went to go get my book out of my bag. And also put on one of my mom’s bra’s that I had “borrowed” from her dresser and put in on over my shirt.

I was marched down to the principal’s office in spite of my “if I’m to play a girl’s part I should try to look like a girl”.

My mother was mortified! And I still argued the “If they want me to read a girl’s part....”

That was however my first and only foray into crossdressing. I think this stunt should be seen for what it is - a stunt!

However, I imagine a lawsuit will come up because of its willful and blatant harrassment of transexuals and cross dressers. (I wish that were sarcasim!)

Same here. The difference is that we’d never even heard the words transexual or transgender, so there was no uproar. As surely as there are legitimate examples of the homosexual agenda, there are knee-jerk reactions like we’re seeing here.

It’s gross and it’s wrong. Doesn’t matter if its funny now, it was funny once in the past, or its not homosexual, it’s wrong.

There are lots of things that are done for comical effect that are still wrong, regardless of how many people laugh.

Many FReepers here are underreaacting because they think that if they’re OK with it, everyone else should be, too.
