Traveling with Barack Obama on his three-day West coast campaign swing, CBS News' Mark Knoller reports on Twitter this morning that Obama made a joke about the controversy surrounding his refusal to authorize the release of his long form birth certificate:
And at a restaurant in Brentwood, some big name Hollywood stars contributed to Obama's re-election campaign incl Tom Hanks, George Clooney.
Obama thanked them all for their longtime support saying "None of you asked for my birth certificate." he said to some laughter.
Knoller added the White House banned TV and audio from the fundraiser:
You won't see or hear that soundbite on radio or TV today. WH/Obama campaign dictated there by no cameras or recorders for broadcast.
0bama let Lt. Col. Lakin go to prison rather than show his paperwork.

But “O” must be easily fooled if he doesn’t know ...those f^%$s in Hollywood would elect Manuel Noriega himself and without question, rather than place America and American interests first in ANY election.
So here we have a crowd of traitorous idiots congratulating themselves on duping the voters. Nice.

Smart strategy to bring it out in the open as though it was only something to be laughed at. Openly talking about it sends the message that he has nothing to hide. He is trying to control how this is perceived.
I’ve never been able to understand Tom Hanks’ abysmal political judgment. He’s so intelligent about so much else.
As for Obama’s “joke,” Obama exemplifies the liberals’ belief that they are above the law. I just hope the birth certificate issue eventually knocks him off his perch.

By making a joke about it Barry is telling his sycophants in LA that they are all in on the joke and that no one else is “a cool kid” like they are.
Barry must have had a terrible time as a child being bullied and excluded.

He should not be ¨asked¨ to produce his documentation. He should be ¨told¨ by the Electoral College and the Congress to produce it or he cannot run again. But they´re bigger cowards then him, so this crap continues.
Things are going to get interesting.
Well they should have. ANYONE who has a father and stepfather, who are NOT US citizens, ANYONE who lived most of their life growing up in Indonesia, ANYONE who has a name such as Barack HUSSEIN Obama, ANYONE who has a mother who lived most of her life out of the country, should have been required to show any document requested, by ANYONE and been happy to do so, understanding voters concerns. Instead he played games with the issue and is now getting contributions from the freaks of hollywood because of it.
"A lot of you got involved when the prospect of electing Barack Hussein Obama to the Oval Office was slim. None of you asked for my birth certificate. It was a complete leap of faith," Obama said during a Los Angeles dinner fundraiser, drawing laughs from the crowd of his supporters.
My reaction was exactly the opposite. He’s so concerned with it that he’s becoming obsessive, even in public.
obama thinks he is going to be able to “yuk yuk” this away with his cutsie little remarks amongst his biggest fans - including hollywood trash like Hanks and Clooney, but it ain’t going away....
