...[Guadalupe] Valle, who will celebrate his 80th birthday in November, registered to vote for the first time on April 6. He did it so he could vote for Radle, a longtime West Side community activist and former city councilwoman who is running for the San Antonio Independent School District Board of Trustees. She is endorsed by Mayor Julián Castro in her race against Sharon Monreal, a substitute teacher in the district.
An affable man with a friendly face and a shock of white hair, Valle told Radle he wanted to vote for her during a recent visit to Inner City Development, the community organization she runs not far from where he lives.
....A retired tailor and part-time construction worker who has lived in San Antonio all his life, Valle said he has followed politics off and on all the way back to President Franklin D. Roosevelt but never voted.
When a friend tried to get him to go vote a few years ago, I told him, I'll let you know when.'
Valle considered voting in the 2008 presidential election but never got around to it. He plans to next time, though, and while many politicians' names eluded him, his political logic showed he's been paying attention.
I'm gonna go with that president we got right now, he said. He's alright. He needs a lot of backing, you know? He won at the wrong time; so he got all the heat.
.... but clearly it was Radle who inspired him.
She helped me a lot, you know? he said. She helped me to fix this house and all that.

Turn out!
Turn out!
I doubt he could pass a basic civics or American history test if his life depended on it!
If he is just now going to vote, I would suggest that he just stay home and not.
Why spoil a perfectly good record?
He watches NBC, CBS, and ABC.
Because the Left is planning to pull off a 2nd term for Obama by signing up every last vote that they can.
Conservatives need a candidate that will FIRE-UP the country!
A carton of cigarettes goes a long way!!
Or he could just wait a couple of years till he dies, then he’ll be voting Dem anyway.
Either way. He’s on the rolls now.
“so he could vote for Radle, a longtime West Side community activist”
That says it all right there
I like your thinking, Ma’am!
Run Sarah, Run!!
Just another way of saying that the current administration is in the crapper because it is bushes fault.
Grow Up!
the current administration is in the crapper because:
1) They don't know what they are doing,
2) They have a socialist agenda,
3) They have a hidden agenda, or
4) All of the above
And, the Liberal RINO GOP will run some candidate that will pander to the La Raza/Hispanic Ku Klux Klan trying to get the Hispanic vote....while trashing their base that wants Border Security, Illegal Alien Deportation.
And he's groomed to be dependent on handouts.
This article is LIBERAL MSM ADVOCACY for the Democrats.
From the title to the descriptions and quotes -- it's another way to get voters to the polls for socialists.
My grandmother, bless her heart, registered to vote for the first time when she was 96. She wanted to vote for Jimmah Cartah. She lived to be 98 1/2 and said she had lived long enough to regret that vote! Wonder if this fellow will feel the same?!!
Most importantly about this article is it is classic propaganda...teaching the ill informed what is “morally” right and putting an exclamation point on it with a personal story of someone unlikely to inspire but used as a tool by the leftist media to exemplify the “higher good” that we must all join with.
There are no limits of depravity these liberals will lower to in order to win. And, don’t expect them to go away peacefully...they will not.
Spot on.
He can vote when he’s dead, too.
She was smart enough to recognize it. Too bad many never do.
