What has post four got to do with it? Libya has Mortar Cluster Bombs in their 120mm mortar arsenal and someone within the loyalists saw fit to use them against the rebels in a tactical situation? Where is the conspiracy? One thing for sure is that they Libyan Government will be desperate that the loyalist forces don’t attempt to use them again in a built up area.

It is still a cluster munition regardless of what you want to call it. ‘Mortar Cluster Bomb’ defining a cluster bomb fired by mortar.

Jane’s references it as a sub-munition bomb.

The story was not about frigging janes definitions, get a grip man. You be over the edge, maybe by definition you would like to rewrite the entire piece.

Why re-write the entire piece? The article contains all the info necessary for people to follow it. The images of the MAT-120s have also been widely published. The term used ‘cluster bomb’ in the article and statement is entirely correct. What was used is still a cluster munition.
