The shipping fees per item are not nearly the same as the cost of shipping a single item to the buyer. Besides, the internet retailer also has their hidden shipping fees.

With physical stores, they have shipping costs x 1. With the internet, they have shipping costs x2 (product shipped to internet merchant, then to customer)
