WH: Obama regrets vote against raising debt limit

WASHINGTON – The White House says President Barack Obama regrets his vote as a senator in 2006 against raising the debt limit.

A fight over raising the debt limit is looming, and the White House is trying to explain away the apparent contradiction between Obama's previous opposition, and his position now that it must be increased.

Press Secretary Jay Carney said Monday that Obama believes his vote was a mistake. He said Obama now realizes that the debt ceiling is too important to be trifled with.

Republicans are threatening to withhold their votes to raise the ceiling unless Obama agrees to major spending reductions.

A failure to raise the debt limit would mean the government would not be able to make debt payments, leading to an unprecedented default on the national debt.

I awoke this morning after suffering from a nightmare, made worse by a terrific hangover, where I dreamt that a muslim socialist with the name of Hussein Obama had been elected as president of the United States of America.

Imagine my angst when I discovered that my nightmare was real.

It was bad enough when Billy Goat (the oval office masturbater)had appointed Togo West as Secretary of the Army.

Well, anyway, when a guy named Mbuku Bazurki walks past the headquarters of the Party of Death he continues walking.

Hey Barack!
Chuck!
IF it’s really THAT “important”, then you won’t mind striking down funding for Obamacare, Planned Parenthood, and PBS, will you?

Trouble was, it wasn’t just the vote. He spoke passionately and authoritatively about the importance of not raising the debt ceiling and the lack of leadership that led to it.

By the time he’s a grownup Obama is going to more regrets than most people.

That time however, may be never.

Obama believes his vote was a mistake.
More than half the population believes his presidency is a mistake.

More than half the population believes his presidency is a mistake.

His conception probably was a mistake.

What was wrong for someone else, is suddenly good when he’s in office. Obama is a slimball

The explanation is simple. He voted for whatever was good for him at the time.

this
“The explanation is simple. He voted for whatever was good for him at the time.”

He has backtracked so much he’d save himself some time if he just turned around and walked OUT of the WH and our lives

Time to play “chicken” on the debt ceiling. If the President doesn’t compromise, then the upcoming economic collapse will be all his fault. It is up to him to avoid becoming the next Hoover in the history books.

As far as this goes, I don’t think it’s related to his slimeball status. It’s just one more thing that shows how incredibly far in over his head he was as a senator, and now even moreso as President.

Remember, the Presidency is the only election Obama ever won without first having the only viable competition eliminated from the running.

OUCH! This one had to sting as Obama NEVER admits to making an error. However, when you find yourself backed into a corner with absolutely no maneuvering room, you do what you gotta do.

I awoke this morning after suffering from a nightmare

Me too! I'm serious. I dreamed I was at my grandmother's house and suddenly Obama machine guns started blowing people away outside and shooting at houses and I got down and crawled to the furthest and most isolated room away from the the street where the shooting has occurring. That's no joke.
