Black And Blue 2: Blacks Flee Blue States in Droves

...after helping destroy those states with their Democrat votes.
Yikes. And now they are migrating to red states to infect them with Democrat cancer?

Sorry.. I realize there are plenty of level-headed, smart, conservative blacks, but the overall numbers don't lie.

>>During the war, against the advice of his cabinet, Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation that freed the slaves.<<

The Emancipation Proclamation did not free the slaves in the North. It was for the Southern slaves only.

Keep reading, FRiend.

It's kind of lame that it's only 60% nationwide. In some southern states, it's 80%. If we could get 80% nationwide, or even 70%, the Democrats would become perennial also-rans.

It's probably those higher numbers among white males. Single white females is where the GOP gets hurt.

I spent the evening trying to the article I thought I remembered seeing the fact that; "Last November the GOP got 60% of the white vote for the first time in history." I couldn't, but I found this National Journal article that agrees with the fact that the GOP got 60 % of the white vote for members of the House of Representatives.

Here's an interesting excerpt:

Much can change in two years—as Obama’s own post-2008 odyssey demonstrates. These results, however, could carry profound implications for 2012. They suggest that economic recovery alone may not solve the president’s problems with many of the white voters who stampeded toward the Republican Party last year. “It comes down to that those voters are very skeptical of the expansion of government,” says Colorado Republican Party Chairman Dick Wadhams, a veteran strategist. “The voters who went with Obama in 2008 did not know what they were going to get with that vote. Now that they’ve seen the health care bill, the stimulus bill, the bailout, the cap-and-trade proposal—issue after issue, they don’t like what they see.”

That resistance could, in turn, increase the pressure on Obama to accelerate the generation-long transformation of the Democratic electoral coalition that he pushed forward in 2008. With so much of the white electorate, especially working-class whites, dubious about the president’s direction, to win a second term he will likely need to increase turnout and improve his showing among the groups that keyed his 2008 victory—minorities, young people, and white-collar white voters, especially women. In 2012, Obama may be forced to build his Electoral College map more around swing states where those voters are plentiful (such as Colorado, North Carolina, and even Arizona) and less on predominantly blue-collar and white states such as Ohio and Indiana that he captured in 2008.

Colorado maybe, but NC where the GOP just took over the legislature and control redistricting, and AZ which was sued by the feds over their new illegal alien law that was approved by 70% of AZ voters. Good luck with that.

Assessing The Obama Coalition

This author says not only are the Jacksoians are gone, at least for the near to midterm, but that the rats had significant losses among working class whites and suburbia last November. Combined with his dismal performance as commander in chief, it looks like Obama is behind the 8 ball, IMHO.

See comment# 30. IMHO, any damage will be minimal.

But...but...the liberal intelligentsia claims that Zero has more "talent" in his little finger than the entire Republican field. That he's "unbeatable"...

Of course, the liberal intelligentsia is prone to reporting what they want to believe...

The Emancipation Proclamation did not free the slaves in the North. It was for the Southern slaves only.

The number of slaves in the north was minimal if not already abolished in the states of the North. The border states not in rebellion were problematic. Lincoln may have been many things, but he wasn't stupid.

Slavery In The Civil War Era

Abraham Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation of January 1863 was a masterful propaganda tactic, but in truth, it proclaimed free only those slaves outside the control of the Federal government--that is, only those in areas still controlled by the Confederacy. The legal end to slavery in the nation came in December 1865 when the Thirteenth Amendment was ratified, it declared: "Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction."

OK, the GOP wrote and passed that amendment.

One thing in this article is very true...

“To begin with, advocates for Blacks and the underclass have to understand that the interests of poor children have to be put ahead — way ahead — of the interests of teacher unions and school bureaucracies.”

I don’t care what color these kids are...it just doesn’t matter. They are part of the future of this country. I hope we don’t let them down.

I would think it would depend on which red states are receiving them.

If they are going to red states with a high percentage of conservative voters, then I believe the number of dems in blue states will be watered down, while the high conservative voter turnout in red states will be able to absorb their votes rather easily.

In my experience, most blue states are dominated by big cities, while the rural areas are conservative. I live in Oregon, and even though we are a blue state, if some liberal folks left Multnomah county, we would be a red state in the blink of an eye.

To be forewarned is to be forearmed. The Southern GOP needs to increase the number of its registered voters, black and white.

You betcha! And the states that do, will make faster progress toward becoming red states!

Abe wasn’t the great man you make him out to be, IMO.

“I am not in favor of Negro citizenship.”—Abraham Lincoln

On April 24, 1863, Lincoln issued General Order No. 100, known as the Lieber Code, which reiterated the accepted conventions of international law that existed at the time and which prohibited the intentional targeting of civilians in wartime. Those who did so were considered to be war criminals and should be prosecuted as such.

But from the very beginning, the Lincoln administration ignored its own Code as its armies pillaged, plundered, raped, and burned their way through the Southern states. In 1862 the entire town of Randolph, Tennessee, was burned to the ground by General Sherman even though there were no enemy combatants there. In 1863 Sherman burned Jackson and Meridian, Mississippi to the ground, again after the Confederate army had left. In a letter to General Grant, Sherman boasted that “for five days, ten thousand of our men worked hard and with a will, in that work of destruction, with axes, sledges, crowbars, clawbars, and with fire, and I have no hesitation in pronouncing the work well done. Meridian . . . no longer exists.”

Ninety percent of the buildings in Atlanta were destroyed despite the fact that there were no Confederate soldiers there, either. After the bombardment of Atlanta, an act that was prohibited by international law, Sherman evicted the remaining 2000 residents just as winter was arriving.

>>There’s much more reason to think they would vote like Thomas Sowell or the late Republican Martin Luther King Jr. than Jesse Jackson Jr.<<

I would like to think so but it’s going to take a decade or so to actually get the numbers out.

I couldn’t begin to give you a synopsis, except to say that it is the most comprehensive, enjoyable, best researched, informative history of our country from l492 that I have ever read. So well written that you actually think you are there. The secularists do not want you to know about this book! If that doesn’t intrigue you, I don’t know what will.

****The Census reported that waves of blue state blacks fled the stagnant job opportunities, high taxes and rotten social conditions of the mostly blue northern states to seek better lives for themselves in the south..****

You doubt this has been happening? You do realize that there are millions of middle class Blacks, right, and that they probably don't like high taxes, no jobs, and high crime any better than you do? IDK about "waves," exactly, but I fail to see why this trend should surprise anyone.

I was attempting to point out that *The Census* is a set of data - not a font of creative writing.

So it would be appropriate to know who assigned motive for the fugitive black population.....don’t white folk also move to better their lives?

Where have I, in your eyes, come up deficient?

In comment# 34 you stated: "They’re mostly former government employees taking their fat tax-payer funded pension checks and moving to states with lower taxes and cost of living."

The article makes the point twice, if not more that:

The Census story is a shocker. First, according to the Times, the Blacks leaving tend to be the “younger and better educated”. (The start of the third paragraph)

So what are we going to call the young, educated Blacks making similar choices? Dumb cracker racists? (The eigth paragraph)

Do you need more examples?

If you're a Vietnam vet, do you remember that my tagline translates to 'I'm sorry sweetheart'?

A lot of white folks protesting the census called themselves black or any of the other ethnic groups found on the form; unknown if the there were enough to affect things by more than a few per centage points.

Never learned too much of the language...operated mostly in the free-fire zones along the Cambodian and Laotian borders and so never came in much contact with the locals...them being mostly 'yards', who, as I recall, didn't speak too much of the low-land language.

Now as to your point that I wasn't paying attention to the article, I was making a different point. I don't put too much faith into whatever the MSM claims to be news.

When has it been a requirement on this forum that you actually have to have been informed, and the post germaine, beforehand?

As far as your opinion as to the quality of my service in the 1st team...well it's like a$$holes...every one has one.

Still like to be your friend.
