Hammond: Arizona-style immigration laws would hurt Texas
AAS ^ | 3.30.2011 | Bill Hammond

Texans have every right to be frustrated with the federal government's failure to fix our nation's broken immigration system, but enacting Arizona-style laws would only make matters worse.

The business community opposes Arizona-style legislation and other copycat measures in Texas. We are concerned such laws would increase the deficit, cost Texas jobs and impose an unfunded mandate on local law enforcement while diverting anti-crime resources.

Texas Employers for Immigration Reform (TEIR), a coalition of businesses, trade associations and individual employers, believes that Texas, along with the rest of America, needs comprehensive reform at the federal level to fix the nation's broken immigration system once and for all.

I don’t have to read very far to figure out they are a group of people who somehow benefits from allowing unfettered illegal aliens pouring over the border. To heck with the rest of us, as long as it somehow serves them.

"The business community opposes Arizona-style legislation and other copycat measures in Texas"

Ya think? The business community is aghast at the concept of giving up their slaves. Just think, under the Old South slavery system, the slaves were at least fed, clothed and housed by the slaveholder.... Today's slaveholders get rid of their workers at the end of the shift.

And it’s no shock that the demscum are the pro-slavery party. Again.

Cost jobs? Texas is filled with open-border RINOs. I have talked to Texans and they have said “well our illegals are nicer” and stupid nonsense like that. TX will end up like Mexifornia.

It is a shame that LTC. Bill Travis and Jim Bowie died for bunch of lazy fat a**ed losers in TX like Kay Bailey, Perry and Cornyn plus idiots who voter for em.

Well, I bet the crime rate would be lower. There are plenty of news articles every day about an illegal involved in wrecks and hit and run accidents.

I’m in the business of growing revenues for businesses. But I’ve got to tell you, there’s a certain point where these greedy business people go too far. They’re willing to destroy Western Civilization so they can beat next quarter’s profits. It’s sickening that business people in America and Europe can be this short-sighted. I’ve started to become convinced that there should be some constraints to capitalism. Retaining Western Civ is more important than importing people to buy iPhones.

‘The Business Community” just needs to go ahead and open their own book so we all can see and acknowledge their true name...The Federal and State Fascist Community...actively working to inactivate working American TAXPAYERS....

“comprehensive reform at the federal level to fix the nation’s broken immigration system once and for all” = amnesty

But I thought we fixed our nation's "broken immigration system" once and for all back in 1986 when we handed out an amnesty to millions of illegal aliens.

TEIR = “Texans engaged in racketeering”

Because that’s what employing illegal aliens is. A racket.

Texas employers of illegal aliens are traitorous scumbags who should be arrested and put to work buiding the fence while
supervising the illegals that will help them.

>>Arizona-style immigration laws would hurt Texas<<

What a crock.

Some state senator is attempting to pass legislation allowing the state to conduct lic. / insurance checkpoints, further eroding personal liberties.

To travel from point A to point B, I must show my papers???

The majority of people who drive without lic. and insurance in Texas are Illegal Mexicans....period.

Now the government wants to infringe on the rights of law abiding citizens by unlawfully detaining drivers to catch those who they REFUSE to deport?

Damn that just pisses me off.

Close the freakin border Gov. Perry and Deport Illegals before supporting hokie crap legislation like this.
