The Lost Boys
Texas Monthly ^ | Skip Hollandsworth

Posted on 03/30/2011 10:01:33 AM PDT by ventanax5

In December 1970 two teenagers disappeared from the Heights neighborhood, in Houston. Then another and another and another. As the number of missing kids grew, no one realized that the most prolific serial killer the country had ever seen—along with his teenage accomplices—was living comfortably among them. Or that the mystery of what happened to so many of his victims would haunt the city to this day.

I’m glad you posted. What is interesting is that all our kids are at risk... not just our little ones but our teenage sons as well. As a Mom with a 14 year old, I am balancing some “freedom” with “keeping him safe”. A true balancing act.

OMG. The man was another sadistic homosexual.
According to some, this is something we all must learn to tolerate.

This is an extreme case, but sodomites often prey on boys - not all sodomites but a large percentage. What is worse, however, is that even those who don’t participate giggle about it.

I can’t help but think of this quote from the movie ‘Aliens’:

Newt: “My mommy always said there were no monsters-—no real ones-—but there are.”
Ripley: “Yes, there are.”
Newt: “Why do grown-ups say that?”
Ripley: “Because usually, it’s true.”

A chilling reminder of America’s first homosexual mass murderer and the media cover-up. I was a young man in high school myself when this happened. It gave us all a glimpse into the sick, twisted mind of these freaks.

I was just out of high school when this occurred and remember it pretty well, big story at the time. Another murderous homo like Gacy.

I remember when this story broke. Tragic that this monster and him monstrous helpers were able to carry on for so long. God Bless the families of these boys.

“In those years, of course, plenty of people tended to believe, falsely, that homosexuality was linked to pedophilia.”

Falsely, huh. Except that homosexuals commit child molestation at about ten times the rate of heterosexuals.

God and I parted ways when I read the details of John Wayne Gacy murders. Impossible for me to see any of God's Providence, Care and Love.

Yea I lived in Houston at the time and always wondered about a runaway from Jr high, if he was one of the victims. Never saw his name on any of the lists, I remember the speculation that he had other burial sites but his young helpers couldn’t lead the police to them, I also seem to remember that he may have had a previous group of helpers,so nobody really is sure his final toll.

That was nothing short of amazing.

I highly recommend everyone follow the link and read the entire story. It's a long article, but incredibly well written ...and just unbelievable.

As someone who enjoys an occasional Ann Rule book, Skip Hollandsworth did a remarkable job.

We live in a fallen world.

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God
(Romans 3:23 KJV)

The question isn't "why does God let bad things happen to good people?" Rather, it's "why does God let good things happen to bad people?"

According to Scripture, there are no "good people."

That's why Jesus died on the cross two thousand years ago.

Smart move. Blame God for somebodies else actions. Then justify what you want to do because there is no God. Tell me how that works out for you.

I know the feeling. When I read that Steven Stayner(the west coast 7 yr old abductee who eventually returned home years later)was the brother of Carey Stayner who slaughtered 3 women in Yosemite years after Steven was killed in a motorcycle accident,I couldn't imagine all that happening to one family,How do you survive that?

And his abductor got out of prison before Steven died and tried to buy another child.Such extraordinary evil.

But I still believe in goodness. The goodness within us is why this is so repellent.
