February 18, 2011 Sarah Palin and former Bush adviser Karl Rove suggested this week Republicans should admit President Obama was born in the United States and move on. Rove, speaking Wednesday on Fox News, went so far as to suggest the Obama camp is trying to keep the "birther" issue going as a distraction. "We need the leaders of our party to say, 'Look, stop falling into the trap of the White House and focus on the real issues,'" he said. Palin, speaking in New York, called claims Obama was born in Kenya or is a secret Muslim "distractions" and "annoying." The former Alaska governor said Thursday Republicans need to focus on the economy. A poll of 400 likely Republican primary voters showed 51 percent believe Obama was not born in the United States. Rep. Jeff Flake, R-Ariz., told CNN he is not convinced the poll is an accurate reflection of Republican beliefs, saying most people "accept the reality" that Obama was born in Hawaii. At least two high-profile Republicans refused to back away from the so-called birthers. Rep. Michelle Bachmann of Minnesota and House Speaker John Boehner of Ohio said they accept Obama's birth certificate but would not say those who believe otherwise are wrong. "Well, that's not for me to state, that's for the president to state," Bachmann said when George Stephanopoulos of ABC asked her if Obama is a U.S.-born Christian. Rove, Palin Call 'Birthers' a Distraction
dumb dumb dumb dumb
dumb dumb dumb dumb DUMB
I’d accept that the anointed one was born in Hawaii if he had not spent millions fighting “birthers.” Nothing to hide? Hardly.
Old article... Funny how Palin haters like to use her when in times of trouble.
If she says it now, after Trump’s opened a can of worms and its’ gone mainstream (Hannity, FOX, etc) then we can talk.
Til then. Pound sand.
Admin - Please pull article. 40 days old.
An old radio interview has her more in agreement with those who want to see proof....she back-pedaled this one.
Sarah caught very little flak from her supporters even when she first said it so there is little reason to believe that she will now. Instead Pawlenty will be branded a rino and Sarah will be ‘The next Reagan’. Crazy huh?
Yer funny.
Go Figure..
Full steam ahead.
Very true. She did come out on the BC issue at first supportive of Obama having to show his birth certificate.
She was right then. Back peddling was a mistake.
Tim Pawlenty w/ Janet Nappy.
Pawlenty is a greenie who supports cap and tax, renewable and clean energy, carbon emission control, unsustainable, GREEN JOBS, etc -

He sounds like Van Jones in regards to everything GREEN. He’s a RHINO of the worst kind. He’d sell us out in a nano second.
Watch the video!!!!!
Birthers? They seem to have some veracity in their point-of-view. Isn’t it possible to think several things simultaneously? For instance, isn’t it possible to have discussions about a variety of issues: the fiscal irresponsibility issue, the incompetent foreign policy issue, the corruption issue, the BS glowbull warming issue ...and many others? The nobama, the Destroyer, administration mis like waves hitting the beach. They are relentless in their destruction and incompetence. Every day, every there are new “issues”.
“......folks should be reminded that Sarah Palin recently referred to this talk as a “distraction” and “annoying”. “
Don’t you have more recent trash to throw at Palin?
“An old radio interview has her more in agreement with those who want to see proof....she back-pedaled this one.”
Without delving to deeply into the backstory here, that wouldn’t be in contradiction to what she’s decrying here, which are claims that Obama was born in Kenya or that he’s secretly a Muslim. Admittedly, having not researched the actual event, it’s possible she said it was OK for Obama not to present his Birth Certificate. But there are many reasons to believe Obama should provide proof of eligibility beyond just thinking he was born out of country. Those are the claims she are saying are a distraction. If he was born out of country, revealing the BC, the REAL issue here, will expose it without need for anyone to push the matter. Allowing the media to continue to portray it that way - that anyone who thinks eligibility is important are “birthers” - is basically surrendering the fight.
“Palin, speaking in New York, called claims Obama was born in Kenya or is a secret Muslim “distractions” and “annoying.””
RHINO???
She said she doesn’t question his faith or his citizenship. She has taken much more of a McCain like position as of late compared to where she was in 2009.
