Wisconsin Judge Orders 'No Further Implementation' of Budget Law
Fox News ^ | 3/28/2011 | Mike Tobin

A Wisconsin judge on Tuesday ordered "no further implementation" of the Gov. Scott Walker's budget repair bill that limits collective bargaining rights.

Dane County Circuit Judge Maryann Sumi said that her earlier restraining order saying the law shouldn't be enacted had either been ignored or misinterpreted.

Sumi stopped short of saying the law was not already in effect. She said she will take more testimony on that issue.

The Legislative Reference Bureau posted the law on a legislative website Friday, leading Walker's administration to declare the law was in effect.

Sumi revised her original March temporary restraining order blocking the secretary of state from publishing the law, which is typically the last step before it becomes effective.

Walker needs to call these people out, or else.

More legislating from the bench, which is what liberal judges do.

Beat me to it with the “bimbo” description.

Of course, that’s what most lib lawyers are - male or female.

Tell her to shove it up her smelly Obama and do something about it.

She thinks she is the Mother of a Union worker.

I cannot understand why Walker doesn’t demand she recuse herself.

She imagines she is a county judge with authority to dictate procedures to the State legislature.

I'd send the sergeant of arms over to pick her up and lock her in a basement closet pending further disposition.

In the meantime all state funds for any state institution in that county would be SUSPENDED immediately.

In most civilized countries this would be considered civil insurrection and the cops could be directed to shoot her down like a dog.

She imagines she is a county judge

She's actually a state judge. Just conveniently based in Dane County.

I blame the legislators too. The GOP had a chance to go right back into session, pass the law with a quorum, give the 24 hour notice before a vote and there's not a darn thing this judge could have said.

Where does she get the authority to do this? If the state legislature violated one of its own rules, I don’t see where this knucklehead gets her authority to intervene. The boys on Capitol Hill in the District of Corruption violate their procedural rules everyday.

A no brainer for Scott Walker. Do what Obama would do. Implement the bill and ignore her.

Do only democrats get to do as they wish?

Since this activist judge is preventing Walker from enforcing this law, thus crippling his ability to resolve the state’s financial crisis, he needs to immediately hand out the pink notices as originally planned. Let the blame fall on the judge and the individuals suing.

That option is still available to the legislature. If they do re-vote then you can count on another challenge to the law. Its actually a good thing that this is happening. The experience is opening the eyes of a lot of Wisconsin voters.

Is there a State Guard in Wisconsin or whoever needs to be called when branches of government get out of line?
