In my previous column for JWR, I predicted that our military was on the verge of enduring its worst scandal since Abu Ghraib. I stick by the scandal assessment, but it is not the one regarding the existence of a "kill team" of American soldiers deliberately murdering Afghan civilians in the Kandahar province. It is about the collective existence of a mainstream media kill team which has seen fit to murder this story into obscurity, despite a guilty plea by one of the twelves soldiers involved in the atrocity.

The writers point regarding the new media is well taken, though, if rather obvious by now.
I read one detailed article about it in Rolling Stone. They had a bunch of video, pics, etc... and a long article. I read it, but it was all based on rumors, and no actual real proof. It would never hold up in court. The ONLY thing they had was a picture of troops holding up a dead body. Nonetheless, even the reporter failed to prove anything he was outraged at our military....
My thoughts were of this reporter (aka Activist) I wish you got this upset and outrage when our enemy does instead of just ignoring it.
The NYT ran front-page stories about Abu Graib for 58 days straight. Contrast that to their treatment of this scandal... near total silence.
Amazing.
Yes, well it’s too long since 2008 to credibly hang on Bush so they must keep silence lest it reflect negatively on their boy Barry’s claim to be on top of everything. The real Barry Obama: a dumbass who had a lot of help getting where he is. Boy are we going to pay for electing this stinker.
Look who occupies 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, for a Democratic President, the NYT provides infinite cover, spin and outright lies to ensure there are no stains attached to a Liberal POTUS.
