Country is defined in the emblematic sounds of Randy Travis and George Strait.

Can't forget Alan Jackson.

I wonder if the 1930s Jews felt the same way about their fuhrer?

Some did. I was watching part of Third Reich - The Rise (dvr'd from the History Channel a couple of weeks ago). There was a prominent Jewish professor and his wife who preached Hitler's virtues to any who would listen. This was, of course, before he started using the Jews as scapegoats.

Obama is just the Chris Gaines of US presidents.

Not only is Obama a failure, but he is also going to be judged by future historians,as a ‘what the hell were they thinking of’ moment...kinda like the music critics tore apart that silly alter ego of Garth Brooks called Chris Gaines.

Alan Jackson covered its demise with “Murder On Music Row”. Looking for it now online to give it a listen - sounds good. Thanks.

I could be wrong. I know he’s an Oakie but later I think he studied at Julliard. His stage show turned me off so much I pushed him off my radar.

Maybe I’m assuming that he wrote his own songs. I’m not a fan, but if he wrote Friends in Low Places and Thunder Rolls, he deserves credit. Call him an idiot savant, maybe. LOL Bob

Much like Obama, Garth is a falsely created image. It’s not who you are but who people think you are.

Hmmmm....

Not sure when he might have had time to do that.

My sister lives down the road from him and that could be an interesting question for her to ask.

this is what happens when your rich and out of touch. Garth brooks maybe a good singer, and he maybe a good entertainer, but he knows squad politics! now I’m not saying all rich people are out of touch, but clearly garth brooks is!

Nope, no Juillard in his past. At least not mentioned in any online bio I am able to find.

Oklahoma State is prominently mentioned, though.

What happened to country music?

Still exists, just not in Nashville or on FM radio. Lots of really good country acts tour. Like Western Swing? Check out Hot Club of Cowtown. You liked the Outlaw movement? Then go see Whitey Morgan & the 78s, Hank III, Shooter Jennings, Jamey Johnson or Lucky Tubb. Bluegrass? Michael Cleveland and the Flamekeepers. Troubadours? Unknown Hinson. If you like Bakersfield, try Dale Watson. Want something just a little bit different than anything else? Junior Brown.

Garth went down a few rungs on my ladder when he cheated on his family.

He also was vehemently anti the resale of music CDs. Garth can afford to pay $12.99 to $19.99 per new music CD. He can afford to drop his money to listen to CDs with 90% crummy "music" and one hit song thereupon. Clearance racks, yard sales and used CDs are the $$ factor for the economy his icon, Obama, has created via enormous US debt (and refusal to cut back spending our tax dollars in serious cutbacks and for frivolous pork programs.

I have a question: when was the last time garth brooks had to pay for some milk? Or when was the last time he had to worr about filling the gas tank on his vehicle? The answer is he hasn’t worried about that, he hasn’t worried about it in years and years. the reason I think that so many celebrities support liberals, is that they are out of touch.

I know that sounds like a cliche, but I really do believe there is some truth to it.

Who cares what a country song singer thinks about our president...we know this country is chocked full of nuts or we wouldn’t have this poor excuse for a man in office right now. We’re almost past the point of no return.

I think many do it, out of guilt, or try to make it look like they really care about the average guy.

Mrs. Brooks (mother) after discovering little Maximilian wasn’t developing normally for his age renamed her son Garth to better fit his moronic behavior. /s
