Pay no attention to the words behind the constitution, because the constitution right now is just a bumper sticker anyway.
Whether passing Obamacare, or taking us to war against Libya, the Obama administration never calculates whether their actions are legal, but only if they can get away with them.
Thats the Chicago Way.
Obama, the One, brought the Way with him to DC courtesy David Axelrod, Rahm Emanuel and Bill Daley.
The important thing with the Chicago Way is to coexist, make things work and not worry about little things like rights and wrongs. With the Chicago Way, justice tends to be deaf, dumb and blind.
Thats why it should surprise no one that a nephew of Obamas chief of staff, Bill Daley and Chicago Mayor, Richie Daley, could be about to get away with murder; actually, manslaughter, to be technically correct.
On April 25, 2004, R.J. Vanecko, a Daley nephew, who stands 6-foot-3 inches, got into an altercation with David Koschman- all 5-foot-5, 140 lbs of him- outside a Rush Street night club. A punch was thrown by one of three men in Vaneckos group. By the process of elimination and simple deduction, the punch was possibly thrown by Vanecko himself. Witnesses say the tallest guy in the group threw the punch, which describes Vanecko.
Koschman was drunk, as were all the participants, and toppled backward into the street from the force of the punch. He struck his head and suffered brain injuries that killed him days later.
Its not the first time that Vanecko has brawled either.
1992, Vanecko and the mayors son Patrick Daley pleaded guilty to misdemeanor criminal charges stemming from a brawl at the mayors Grand Beach, Mich., second home, writes the Chicago Sun Times, at which a teenager was hit in the head with a baseball bat. Vanecko, then a senior in high school, held a shotgun during the beating, court records show.
Ha, ha, ha. Those Daleys really are high-spirited!
Thats probably why Mayor Daley is such a strong gun control advocate .
I mean, imagine if people besides the Daleys, Obamas, Emanuels and Axelrods were allowed to have guns for their own protection? Law and order might break out.
In the Koschman case, charges were never filed. The police delayed the investigation and obfuscated on the case, say several recent news reports on the handling of the case.
Prosecutors now say the file on the case has disappeared so it cant be reviewed.
"They declined charges [against Vanecko], but they can't find the file? said Richard Kling, according to Chicago Now. King is a law professor at IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law.
I've been doing this for 39 years, literally thousands of cases. I've never seen a felony-review file missing. Ever. Never heard of one. There's certainly some red flags. Like not investigating the case earlier, a missing felony-review file, transferring the case from one area to another and not having lineups until a month later."
They dont make copies of important files apparently at the Chicago Police Department.
After all, if they did, law and order might break out.
And law and order is a big problem when youre Transforming America, the Chicago Way.
Didn’t Boenher come out in support of Obama’s action?
incident isnt as bad as the attempt to make it “go away”.
But I guess if your a Daley thug you dont take chances.
America first saw the “Chicago Way” during the 2000 election in Florida when the same Bill Daley instigated the impasse when he called Al Gore and told him NOT to concede.
The Presidential election of 1960 was stolen from Nixon in Chicago, but he had the grace and love of this country not to put the country through the trauma that the Democrats did in Florida in 2000.
I loathe the Democrats and think that party is evil.
