Beats the hell out of me. We have no business doing this. If the French and the Brits want the fight fine, that is their problem.

Agreed. They want to make the “sides” even (for whatever reasons), just EMP the place, emp long and emp often.

All Qadaffi has to do is survive, and control some oil export facilities. If he merely survives, he wins.
We will simply be repeating what happened in Iraq after Gulf War I.

Everything our president does seems to have the effect of degrading America in some way. This situation is no different - there can be no other outcome.
I have no idea whether its intentional or just plain incompetence.

They have no clue about the endgame.
Boehner needs to convene an emergency session of Congress to debate and vote on this unauthorized war.

Where is the “anti-war” crowd? If Bush was President instead of this sob that is occupying the WhiteHoues every newspaper and every queer television reporter would be screamong to high heaven.

They have no clue about the endgame.
It sure seems that way. The coalition seems to be coming apart already, with the participants each having a different understanding of what was going to happen, and each making differing guesses about the endgame. This is going to be the quickest quagmire ever created.

Yes that would have been a good reason to go get the monster YEARS ago. That is NOT the reason for this attack. For some godawful reason whenever muslims are killing muslims our politicians feel some perverse need to make it STOP.
I say arm both sides and let them have at it but otherwise stay the hell out of it.

Living in a concrete bunker 60 feet under the desert is not necessarily up to the standards of survival he is accustomed to.
He is one gps pinpoint and one 2,000 jdam bunker buster away from extermination.
Like wanted criminals, eventually someone close to him will roll over to relieve the pressure.

If it was merely incompetence, it wouldn't be "everything." His controllers are quite thorough.

The U.S. definitely owes Ghadaffy a major shipment of whupass.

He has a gun pointed at us (metaphorically holding us hostage due to all of the oil speculators) and all we do is throw a few stones at his toys. When will we ever learn? Either do something with full thought and purpose or go home and cry about it. OH..wait a minute..I forgot we are talking about obama the anti-war protester.

I say arm both sides and let them have at it but otherwise stay the hell out of it.....Al Quada is smarter than our State Dept. Let the US spend money on helping us and we win. The French are complicit in this and I believe the Brits were cowered into it. I don’t know of anything Quaddafy did to PO the French or Brits, so it’s the only political reason I can surmise.

whenever muslims are killing muslims our politicians feel some perverse need to make it STOP. But when Muslims are killing Christians they go into "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil" mode.

The endgame of the little U.N. adventure is a cease fire with Libya split in two and a permanent blue helmet peace keeping operation. The U.N. bureaucrats want to control the oil fields. We are the pawn that gets them there.
Notice the Italians, the biggest recipients of Libyan light, sweet crude, were the last to condemn Qaddafi and are staying out of the fighting? They are hedging their bets if Qaddafi retains control of much of the oil.

Am much as I'd like to see Gaddafi fry for the Lockerbie bombing it's a non-issue. Our government didn't care about Lockerbie four weeks ago, four months ago or four years ago. He was an ally.
