Egypt's interim government has released the brother of Ayman al-Zawahiri, al Qaeda's second in command, his lawyer told CNN on Friday.
Mohamed al-Zawahiri was released Thursday along with scores of other political prisoners after orders from Egypt's Interior Ministry, said Nizar Ghorab, who claimed al-Zawahiri was tortured in prison.
Al-Zawahiri had been in jail since 1999 after being detained and extradited from the United Arab Emirates on allegations that he was linked to the assassination of former Egyptian President Anwar Sadat. Al-Zawahiri was acquitted on the assassination charges but later was accused of conspiring against the Egyptian government.

Freedom! Democracy!.... all at work.
Did he get a commission on the UN’s human rights board so he can go and promote democracy with his brother?

If he can be tracked, this is probably a good thing, but considering the government we have in place, they are probably to stupid to think of it.
If I were in charge, I’d track him to his brother, then take them both out.
Instead we got Democrat lawyers in place to make sure we don’t hurt the feelings of terrorists.
Liberals are pure scum bags and will always choose the interests of the enemy over the United States.

He was apparently in prison for the crime of conspiring against the Mubarak dictatorship. The current government of Egypt exists because it consists of conspirators against the Mubarak dictatorship.
It would be hypocritical of them to keep him locked up on those grounds.
Of course, it will all end badly unless we have eyes on him.
To: BenLurkin
I heard they knocked him out while he was asleep, and kept him asleep for two day and did a quick heal to cover our tracks.
