LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Four months after her strong bid to unseat U.S. Sen. Harry Reid ended in defeat, Sharron Angle said Wednesday she'll run for Congress again in an effort to "stop the liberal agenda."

Angle told supporters via YouTube, Twitter and an e-mail that she will pursue one of Nevada's four U.S. House seats in 2012.

I hate to say this, but, “oh no, not again”. Her heart is in the right place, but she was a disaster as a candidate. Okay, I’m ready. Let me have it.

Probably should have started at this level before...

Oh no, not again was my thought as I read the headline.

I think she might do well at this level. Running againt Reed and his MSM wolfpack was an entirely different story.

I would gladly swap her for mine. My new freshman RINO voted for the CR yesterday.

And it looks like she’s going after a rural seat, which should help her.

I agree. Why do we keep recycling candidates? Can’t they find somebody new?

Nevada has been hit hard in the economic downturn. Sharon would be a welcomed choice against ANY liberal Dem she runs against. Voters suck if they keep electing leftist losers—then they deserve their fate.

Please, let’s get some new blood.

Hopefully the Republican Governor can do something to reduce voting fraud by then

I’m surprised nobody has disagreed with you. I TOTALLY disagree with you. Voting for Angle over Reid should have been a slam-dunk. I have to conclude that the voters of NV are as stupid as ours here in California.

“strong bid to unseat U.S. Sen. Harry Reid”

The fact that the bid was not successful in that elkection year means, ipso facto, that it was not a strong bid. Sorry.

Bingo!

On a side note. Dean Heller has a lifetime ACU rating of 89 and should make a good addition to the US Senate.

Losers, IMO, need not apply especially one that should have beaten Reid. Angle couldn’t keep her mouth zipped without screwing up. Reid has enough baggage to fill the cargo space on a 777 and Angle couldn’t expose enough to get him booted or investigated.

Surely, in all of Nevada, the GOP can find a viable candidate with what it takes to win.

Please, let’s get some new blood.

She is new blood. That's why she flubbed the question. She should have gone after a House seat first. Not everyone's as slick as Scott Brown. What the defeats of the these newbies for Senate seats highlights is the giant-killing nature of Scott Brown's victory. He not only went from the statehouse to DC, he knocked off the Democratic heir-apparent for the Ted Kennedy seat. It wasn't as easy as it looked.

I have been looking for an opportunity to chime in about something I have seen emerging here on FR, and your post is the perfect opportunity.

Too often I see inordinate criticism of ANY female candidate. A few posters in particular are always quick to criticize Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachman, Christine O'Donnell, and Sharon Angle.

From what I can tell, every one of these candidates would be excellent in the office they seek.

Rush had a great quote from an unlikely source this morning; Elanor Roosevelt:

Great minds discuss ideas.
Average minds discuss events.
Small minds discuss people.

Sadly, by this definition, there are more than a few small minds on Free Republic that continually move to attack the person, but seldom discuss the ideas these people stand for ...conservative principles.

I hope Sharon Angle runs for Congress, and that one day that leads her right to the Senate. And for the record, Sharon Angle was beaten by voter fraud.

Voting for Angle over Reid should have been a slam-dunk.

All things being equal, you would be correct. Once you mix in Reids massive war chest and the Rat party pulling out all the stops as a firewall, things become very difficult. Also sprinkle in corruption from your union thug friends against a green candidate who made some gaffs along the way and you are done. Any candidate against Reid would have been destroyed. Just look at what they did to Sue Lowden in the primary when they thought she was to be the winner.

If Sharron Angle is running for the seat being vacated by Dean Heller she will win.

If you look at the election results for Nevada you’ll discover that she won 14 out of 17 counties. A 15th county she lost by only 33 votes.

Harry Reid really won two counties, beating her by 7000 in Washoe, his home county. And by 61,000 in Clark (Las Vegas) County.

The congressional seat she is running for includes nearly all of Nevada except Clark County.
