ALACHUA -- A man wanted by federal immigration enforcement is being held at the Alachua County Jail on a number of charges, including battery and child abuse, after a hit-and-run in Alachua.
On March 5, Persiliano Garcia, 20, of Mexico, ran into the back of a woman's sedan, according to an Alachua Police Department report.
When the woman, Sherell Hope of Alachua, got out of her car, Garcia backed up his white Honda sedan, hitting Hope in the leg, and drove away.
Police caught up to him on County Road 235, and a record check revealed Garcia was using a fake license. U.S. Customs and Immigration Enforcement has a detainer placed on Garcia for being in the country illegally.
Garcia was charged with child abuse because his young son was in the car and not secured by a seat belt or safety seat.
Perez, who is being held in the Alachua County jail on a $180,500 bond, was also charged with driving without a license and for the hit-and-run, which caused damage to Hope's vehicle and a road sign.

Well, you KNOW he’s not lazy; Bawney Fwank assured us that lazy people don’t enter the USA illegally.....
“Garcia was charged with child abuse because his young son was in the car and not secured by a seat belt or safety seat.”
The anchor baby was not anchored but the welfare payments are secured.
It’s good he was retained. In my town, where the Police Chief is a Hispanic, he releases them claiming there isn’t enough evidence, and by the time enough evidence is collected to warrant an arrest, the illegal alien has fled the state. Our citizens are being denied justice.

The change Hope was looking for?

My headline:
“Hope Crippled By Illegal Alien Hit & Run”
I love this comment left there..Hey Obama, here is one of your favorite supporters.
Pusillanimous Persiliano.
You should post that after the article. Very good and right on target.
There's an infestation of what the government considers "justice" pervading our land, all for democrat votes. What Ramos and Compeon endured is surely fresh in the minds of many many Americans yet today:

Among the nations represented in apprehension statistics are the four countries currently on the State Departments list of State Sponsors of Terrorism, Cuba (712), Iran (14), Syria (5) and Sudan (5), as well as Somalia (9), Afghanistan (9), Pakistan (37), Saudi Arabia (5) and Yemen (11).
Overall, U.S. Border Patrol agents apprehended 663 Aliens from Special Interest Countries. These countries are deemed special interest because of their suspected ties to terrorism.
The countries yielding the highest Other Than Mexican apprehensions include: Guatemala (18,406), El Salvador (13,723), and Honduras (13,580).
(U.S. Border Patrol estimates that three out of every four illegal aliens who cross the border evade apprehension.)
If his lawyer can get the case transferred to Denver, he’ll get a $95 fine and be asked to not drive until he gets a license and insurance. Then, after he is caught driving again, the person reporting him will be warned by the police that they could be sued by the perp.
Think I’m kidding? Look at the Denver news. Only the perp’s sex has been changed.
Same nationality, though.
Surprise, surprise.
See, if these INS agents weren’t constantly trying to chase these guest workers, they wouldn’t run over innocent bystanders. /s
