It's a miracle! A three-month-old puppy abandoned in Oklahoma that was put in a trash bin after being declared dead by a vet is alive . . . and looking for a new home.

The puppy was left outside a dog shelter in Sulphur, Okla., with the rest of his litter. They were sick when they were found, so a vet at the shelter decided to euthanize them.

So many puppies, he must have been asleep and they missed one.

“The surviving puppy was named “WALL-E,” after the garbage-collecting robot in the Disney-Pixar animated movie of the same name. In the movie, the lovable WALL-E was the last of his kind.”

He’s cute, but the sad part is all the media attention & adoption requests for this one pooch.

So many great dogs are euthanized every day...where are their stories? I have three rescued shepherds and would gladly take in more if I had the space & resources.

And would anyone give a crap if the shelter vet had done his job accurately & killed the entire litter? How many litters of good potential pets have been destroyed? I badmouth breeders every chance I get, because it’s the rest of us who clean up their messes.

Bite my head off if you must...our society doesn’t blink when a baby is murdered in utero (or in the Gosnell case, after birth, but see an animal in crisis, and suddenly the country is aroused.)

Shame on this country. People are more interested in the case of a spunky puppy than murdered babies in Pennsylvania.

Where is the outrage?

Darn it! Keyboard and monitor are going all blurry. What a sweet, little puppy! The shelter will be inundated with requests to adopt this little fellow. I hope he finds his perfect forever home. May those not chosen to be his new family find it within their hearts to adopt another needy furry in need of a forever home. That would be a win-win for everyone.

It’s sad, isn’t it?

We just can’t take in any more dogs. I have two giant ones, plus a bunch of cats. I wish I could take in more, but I can’t. I would also take in a bunch of kids no one wanted, but the state makes everything a hurdle. And I’ve noticed lately shelters and stuff make taking in pets a hurdle, too.

I was turned down once to adopt at a shelter because I didn’t have the name of a regular vet, and I couldn’t promise I would be home every day.

As hard as it is to adopt from a shelter or basic rescue group, it’s even harder to adopt a cat/dog from a pure-bred rescue organization. I’ve filled out shorter employment applications than the app to adopt a Maine Coon.

... a little sweetie! My very dear son-in-law (I’m so blessed) has adopted two black labs, one an American and one English. Trained them well. They are great and lovable dogs!

Yeah, everyone thinks Zombie Puppy is cute now.

We'll see how cute he seems when he starts roaming the streets with an aimless gait, searching for puppy brains to eat.

When martin tried this he wasn't any cuter than before and nobody was lining up to give him a new home.

I notice that he hasn’t chimed in yet. Do you think he’s trying that again? ;)

I think he’s just keeping us in suspense... kinda like waiting for Charlie Sheen to surpass himself.

LadyBuck, while I’m very happy with the outcome of this precious little puppy, I must agree with you in your post. I too am an animal lover and have 4 rescue dogs and my heart also aches for the children that “never were” and wonder what this world would have been like had they been in it. :(

They made it very costly, with lots of red tape to adopt a baby in this country. Some have been waiting years!! There are so many people who would give anything to be able to adopt them. Many of them go to countries outside the U.S. to adopt.
