Newsnight's Jackie Long meets former Alaskan governor and potential 2012 presidential contender Sarah Palin at the Iron Dog, a gruelling 1,971 mile (3,172 km) off-road snowmobile race across Alaska in temperatures as low as minus 50 Celsius. This the longest snowmobile race in the world has been won four times by Palin's husband, Todd. Watch Jackie Long's interview with Sarah Palin in full on Newsnight on Monday 7 March 2011 at 10.30pm on BBC Two, then afterwards on BBC iPlayer and Newsnight website.

BBC doing the job the US media won't do.

Can't wait to see the whole interview on Monday. Check Palintv.com on Tues - they'll probably have it.

Being involved with Boy Scouts and camping/backpacking, I can vouch for Sarah being concerned about the ‘layers’.

As much as I know that Palin would make a great and effective President; she has a real record of successful accomplishment as Mayor & Governor over the past 20 years you know.

I'd be just as happy to see her back in Alaska living her life out and getting involved in AK politics. The people up here know the real Palin, not the media construed negative image of Sarah Palin.

The US media covered the Iron Dog race.

But notice the title they used.

That wasn’t Todd....Sarah was being affectionate towards him, so it couldn’t have been (s/off).
There are many factors involved in the Palin hatred we’ve seen and one of them is FEAR.
The elites KNOW that if “We The People” ever get the reins back, it’s over for them and Sarah REPRESENTS the average Joe (non lawyer, no Ivy League degree, etc.)

Yep, you’re right. Americans now realize we cannot afford eletist professional elected in our government anymore. They look after number one and it ain’t you, me or America.
The eletists are now “frowning” on the new elected congress who do not live in the economy but in their offices. The eletists think it is below their “dignity” to save the government money, by doing as the newly elected are doing. Yep, we need a Sarah or Sarah Like to move into Our Whitehouse.
