I am leery of arab news sources, especially when they use anonymous sources. However, it does have an element of credibility due to the fact it would not surprise anyone if proven true.

It also would not be surprising to find there were similar factions in the other ME nations where problems have arisen.

Iran helped Qaddafi beat back Chad rebels who were approaching Kufra back in the late 80’s - Qadaffi owes them

Strange bedfellows, the IRGC and Qadaffi

If Iran has IRGC troops inside Libya, will they be fighting for or against the Gaddafi regime? If not backing the regime, they'd be smart to be making plans to leave the country. Things might get sticky between them and anti-Gaddafi rebels

The fact that Iran might have some troops there might be an additional reason as to why we are possibly considering a No-fly zone.....

Gaddafi has long used Libya as a training/staging ground for all sorts of terror groups from the Irish Republican Army, to Spain’s ETA, Italy’s Red Brigades, and the Palestine Liberation Organization. That the Iranian Revolutionary Guards are there should come as no big surprise.

Your analysis may be totally correct regarding the Iranian military aircraft in Libya. It appears the Brits are already in the mode of establishing a no-fly. Things are getting interesting.

If the Brits are coming, it means they have reached agreement with the Quadaffi son on a new governance and he will be installed as head

Your analysis may be right on. Of course it could establish more then one outcome. For instance. A means to which the opposition becomes even larger, better equip with weapons to then carry out really bloody battles with the regime counterparts. To many potential scenarios to go into here.

That would be the good son. (I don’t know his name)

The one who negotiated with the Brist to end the nuc program and allowed the Americans to come carry it all off to Oak Ridge. He then negotiated for a change in diplomatic relations and an end to scnctions. He is the one who began and promoted the Great Man Made River Project that is believed to be very good for lots of reasons. He is also the one who is intent on making Libya the finance center of North Africa nad has been working with European banks to make it so. he is the one educated abroad and who knows the country must modernize and make progress.

-——Of course it could establish more then one outcome——

You are correct but if the probably for a good outcome were not high, we would not be hearing about it. I’m suprised the Brits are in the lead. I sort of thought it would be the Italians. However considering the previous negotiations the Brits may have someone who is trusted

The old man was putting out money and I have no doubt others are too. The question becomes, who’s money is likely to be chosen by the opposition leaders.

Fear or hope?

Similar thought on Italy. They are staying below the radar for the time being. I don't have to lecture you. But the potential outcome can look super good then go sour.
I do think it fair to say, NATO and the US have to still work out details. Who takes the lead and with what. Carriers come to mind. And obviously the Enterprise is sitting at the head of the Suez canal, with the Kersage at the lower end of the Red Sea. Guess over the next few days we shall see where this is all heading.

I don’t think America is involved other than as a bit player. The stars will be European/British.

Obama lacks the stature to be involved at a high level. He will be carefully shunted aside He gets no respect

You are correct however in cautiously believing it can all fall apart.
