Unions' collective disregard for taxpayers: 'Political favoritism' is bankrupting state!
WorldNetDaily.com ^ | 2/28/11 | Herman Cain

The mayhem in Madison, Wis., over the last two weeks has highlighted the determination of organized labor unions to continue to restrict workers rights, and to try to intimidate Gov. Scott Walker and the taxpayers into some more unsustainable demands.

Choosing to join a union in one thing. Being forced to do so as a condition of employment is a restriction on a worker's rights. Joining a union or any other organization should be an individual's choice. And the desire of the unions to continue to make unsustainable demands on local, state and federal government, irrespective of the devastating financial impacts, is totally illogical, not to mention being a collective disregard for the nearly 90 percent of the workers and taxpayers who pay them.

Herman Cain Ginormous Bump!

What a great dude, and one citizen of this great country who understands the collective “us”, and isn’t taking that bait at all.

Innovation is the name of the game, and the Keynesians have stifled the comeback that we have all have anticipated.

After all of their demands against removing collective bargaining, except for wages, the Keynesians have failed.

The problem in Wisconsin can be summed up by this; an open letter from elected politicians (and school board members) asking Walker to leave collective bargaining alone.

Most of these people are union members (AFSCME, WEAC, etc) or have received political donations and election support from the unions. The taxpayers have no one at the bargaining table - union reps represent the union and the taxpayers. Guess who wins?

For sure. The union thugs “bargain” with the same people we elect into office and pay too. Makes no sense to me how it could be allowed to be.

… the desire of the unions to continue to make unsustainable demands …

Playing one of their favorite argument-trumpers - unsustainable - on the table is going to cause all kinds of consternation among the lefties. Well, the few with cognitive abilities above that of a tubeworm.

You’re welcome. Larry Walker is absolutely brilliant. Few have his ability to make complex things simple and understandable.
