Yeeks. And to think this is actually happening more and more in Britain.

Do the math. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

Gosh, and here I am, not a grandmother at 44. You can’t just “hope,” lady: you have to raise your daughter to value chastity. If you don’t, she won’t.

Well, at least the mum didn’t shuffle her off to Marie Stopes for an abortion. And the mother/grandmother seems to fear that her daughter is in for a struggle, which is a good thing. At least she’s in touch with reality. Prayers for them that they get their own dysfunctional lives straightened out & do right by the baby.

Out of 6 generations, wonder how many are on the dole? At least it says the GM-to-be has a job. But she’s also got a good chance of being a great-grandmother in her 40s.

I certainly hope everything works out well for them. But one thing both of them might consider doing is finding a husband.

Although I guess, from what I’ve read, British men aren’t the marrying kind anymore, now that the welfare state does their job and leaves them free to sleep around and impregnate anything that stands still long enough.

A simple aspirin could have prevented this.

All she had to do was put it between her knees and held it there - till she was 20 or so...

NOT!!!! - I REPEAT NOT!!! - MY PROBLEM!!!!!

I’m sick of two things:

All the angst people are constantly trying to heap on me because of other people’s mistakes and
Flo, the broad that sells insurance, because I’m convinced she’s the anti-Christ and is from the netherworld...

;-)

From the article: Tia's unemployed father Shem still lives six doors away and has a newborn 16 week old son with his 21-year-old partner. Kelly John lives with boyfriend Carl Zaccardelli, Tia, and three other children from a marriage that collapsed.

But she "hoped" her daughter wouldn't get pregnant as a teen. That's like "hoping" you can jump off a building without hitting the ground.

“...this is actually happening more and more in Britain.”

Are you kidding? Looked at any major US city lately? Or not even lately. In 1984 I was checking out of a DC hospital, after giving birth to twins. A group rushed past me to the parking lot. On the return of just a nurse and aide, I heard the nurse say “the mother is 13, so the grandmother will raise him.”

“Him” would now be 27 and may well be on his way to becoming a grandfather, if he’s survived the streets. You can ‘hope’ not, but the odds are against him, and were from the day he was born.

Here is a birth control penny.

Place that behind your left knee and hold it in place with the front of your right knee.

Hand out some to your kids.

Grandma-to-be needs to learn to play the guitar. Loretta Lynn was a grandmother at 28. Of course, she did manage to stay married to the father of her children.

GRandmothers this age is not uncommon in Cairo.

I was amazed to find this out as the protests went on there and some protestors let Western media crews into their homes.

Some 30-something Western media reporter white guy was interviewing a 22 year old protestor who had a wife, 2 kids, and his mother was younger than the reporter.

Boy was he surprised when he asked if the grandmother was the protestor’s older sister or not. Protestor translated to grandma on camera and the whole family was laughing at the reporter and cameraman.

Someone needs to find out what causes this kind of problem and bury it in the backyard.
