.... David Cameron’s claim that failure to arrive at a ‘two-state solution’ to the Arab-Israel impasse has caused terrorism and instability and helped excuse authoritarianism is surely a first for a British Prime Minister in its perversity and ignorance ....

Oh, I dunno .... After all perversity and ignorance -- and gutlessness -- have been pretty much the defining characteristic of those British politicians that have best represented the British electorate since he who championed them all, Neville Chamberlain, so exactly represented it.

The well known anglo-American, Winston Leonard Spencer Jerome Churchill stands out -- but his doing so highlights that he was essentially American -- and makes my point.

Perversity and ignorance and gutlessness and appeasement -- and (as with the Soviet agent, Harold Wilson, say -- and most of Hong-Kong Snatcher's Gang ... um ... "cabinet?" Treason.

Cameron's just another Pommy poofter indistinguishable from pretty much every other in a long long long line of Pommy poofter pretenders to the prime-minister-ship.

Post war, only Paul Eddington got it Right.

No peace in the middle east until every Jihadist is in the ground.

“Churchill stands out”

As did Thatcher.

The systemic antisemitism in the British government is disconnected from the people at large. They were never given an opportunity to vote Thatcher out. The system took her out independently.

Also, the current Whitehouse is a lot more anti-jew than even the British givernment has ever been.

First, the current unrest convulsing the Arab and Muslim world demonstrates that the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians is actually irrelevant to the protesters’ concerns, which are about the enslavement imposed upon them by their own regimes.

I don't know. While it may be true that the question of Israel is largely irrelevant, it seems to me that the regimes with the most "enslavement" are the ones where little or nothing is going on. I'm thinking specifically of Lebanon and Syria.

Just another leftist who thinks he is the most intelligent person in the room when he is actually the dumbest.

You give a Gaza dwelling Palestinian free range to do what he wants, where he wants and with whom he wants and most likely it will have nothing whatsoever to do with improving his lot in life but hurting (killing) those who differ from his views on life.

Don’t get me wrong. I have met very compassionate, very compassionate Palestinians but the good ones have no desire to live in Gaza or Gaza like cities. I know a few (personally) who live in the midst of the Jewish population and they are a respected part of the community (in Israel). I have met others who live in places like France, England and you would never know that they were anything thing other than one of the regulars at the pub or playing on a soccer team, etc. They are often just regular people who want to succeed and be a respected and be a regular person.

I agree.

It's a crying shame that just when we have the weakest president in modern times, Britain also has a weak leader.

We were blessed to have George W. Bush and Tony Blair in power on 9/11/2001.

Look - Let's get it straight.

Whatever the problem, It's either the fault of Israel, Global Warming Manmade Climate Change, or the mean spirited Tea Party.

If George Bush was still president this mideast turmoil would be his fault, or the fault of the entire USA. But with "Obama; President of the World" in power that option is out the door.

Thatcher was the only great leader the Conservatives produced after Churchill retired. But her colleagues shoved her out of office after she fixed the country, and went right back to their former stupid ways.

Cameron is the last of a long string of losers, who is only in office because the voters no longer could stand Brown.

Winston Churchill as foreign secretary made the Jewish state of Israel possible when the partitioning of Trans-Jordan occurred after the WW1.

If Churchill had his way, we would have never had the Bolsheviks or WW2.

Nobody listened then and they are still not listening... Europe lost a whole generation of their best and brightest during the trench warfare of WW1.

It could have all been avoided.
