If you're arrested in California, federal authorities can now screen your immigration status across every county of the state.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) said Friday that the last six counties were hooked up to the so-called Secure Communities program this week.

According to ICE, it has taken custody of nearly 48,000 convicted criminal aliens in the state identified as a result of the program, since May 2009......

Of that number, 23,712 have already been removed from the United States. The aliens deported from California as a result of Secure Communities include more than 10,000 individuals who had been convicted of serious or violent criminal offenses.

I know it has helped nab some illegals, but the problem is that they come back easily after being deported.

This is all BS- The local cops won`t report illegals to ICE unles they have sold drugs to Americans etc. where they can bust the American - I know cause I rode with ICE/local joint patrols there and watched them go after the Americans, and ignore completely the illegals.

Anddddddd- if they rarely ever do arrest the illegal, he never gets deported but is back on the street doing his drug thing again, no matter how loudly the neighbors complain to the cops.
