Sometimes it's necessary to get out on the streets and "get a little bloody," a Massachusetts Democrat said Tuesday in reference to labor battles in Wisconsin.
Rep. Michael Capuano (D-Mass.) fired up a group of union members in Boston with a speech urging them to work down in the trenches to fend off limits to workers' rights like those proposed in Wisconsin.
"I’m proud to be here with people who understand that it’s more than just sending an email to get you going," Capuano said, according to the Dorchester Reporter. "Every once and awhile you need to get out on the streets and get a little bloody when necessary."
Political observers have been the lookout for potentially incendiary rhetoric in the wake of January's shooting in Tucson, Ariz., where Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D) survived an assassination attempt, six were killed, and 13 others were injured.

The union thugs who think they can beat people with impunity might have a big surprise coming if Big Brother finally gives that one push too many.
Too bad he’s untouchable politically. His district is Cambridge and Somerville MA. Not exactly a hotbed for conservatives.
As for his bid to take Brown’s Senate seat, he couldn’t beat Marcia Coakley in the primary. He doesn’t play well statewide

I could see the union workers ‘getting bloody’ in the early days when companyies DID take advantage of workers and needed their ass kicked.
That is a lesson all businesses should learn from. They deserved it.
But to continue to act as if they are all pure and holy when they are nowadays just making sure “I get mine” is disgusting.
Now they are just thugs and thiefs. Only they rob you by committee, not in the streets.
Now the unions need to learn the same lesson they taught the companies.

Hey, but nobama said there would be a “new tone”! Maybe this (”get bloody”) represents the new tone? I was so stupid because I thought the suggested new tone was one of civility and mutual respect.
Bring it on, unions.
May as well get this over with so that we can get some real work done afterwards - by NON UNION WORKERS.

There are going to be quite a few snarky replies to this article, but — in truth — the man is right on.
After all, is not one of the often-seen quotes right here on FR the one that goes “the tree of liberty....”?
The only issue here is “which side are you on” — not the tactics which must be used.
The reality is that — some day, not yet, but it’s coming — the “citizen/soldiers” of The Right are going to have to march en masse for their [our] own causes and objectives, and our side will have to appear many times more “forceful” than the lefties to achieve our goals.
I am NOT “advocating”, just observing.
But we are approaching a point in American history that resembles where the two diametrically-opposed ideologies of The North and The South were about 1856. The time comes when divisions are so irreconcilable that separation becomes the only recourse. And what if the other side won’t let you go peacefully?
At that point, the only two options are to “submit” or to fight.
Sounds like _another_ struggle going on in the world right now.
Who here believes that one can be settled peacefully?
