"Out of respect for the institution of the Legislature and the democratic process, I am calling on Senate Democrats to show up to work today, debate legislation and cast their vote," Walker said in a statement. "Their actions by leaving the state and hiding from voting are disrespectful to the hundreds of thousands of public employees who showed up to work today and the millions of taxpayers they represent."

Heck in MA, the Dems go ahead and vote anyway, they just ignore the whole pesky “quorum thing”.

He’s right but I doubt that matters much to a union thug.

Why in hell doesn’t one of the 19 Republicans SWITCH PARTIES and become a Democrat-for-a-day??!! Too dumb to think of it, or just too spineless??

I think they need to have 20 warm bodies to have a quorum.

Anyone know if the Governor has any legal recourse? IE, if they don’t show within a specified time, can they be penalized in any way? For example, withholding their pay.

There you go, Gov. Walker - just forget the quorum thing and “DEEM” it passed.

Be careful about calling people dumb when you don't know what you're talking about.

They need 20 for a quorum and they're not being spineless, protestors are blocking the bathrooms and the Republicans are even being protested at their homes but they're sticking it out.

You are correct. 20 is a quorum sufficient to have a vote and the GOP only total 19. If the authorities can round up even one of the rats that would be enough to rock ‘n roll.

Yes, he (or the senate, not sure which) can have the police bring them in to vote. Unfortunately that only works if they're still in Wisconsin. The last I heard they're all hiding out in Illinois to avoid the vote.

Typical Democrats, can’t have their way so rather than accept the majority decision they throw a tantrum.

Gosh, I don’t know why I laughed at that. Being a Democrat means never having to follow the rules or obey the law.

The unions must have offered an awful lot of re-election funds. I think an investigation is in order.
