Well, the possibility was certainly foreseeable. that doesn’t make the horror any less, nor the perps any less guillty and despicable, nor Islam any better.
But people that take risks, take risks. They have to be prepared to lose, occasionally. So it helps to know when you are actually taking a risk, and what kind of people you will be meeting.
You can be assaulted in Church on Sunday morning, but the odds are less than those outside a bar on Saturday night.
“It comes as an American academic, Nir Rosen, yesterday resigned from his post at New York University after calling Miss Logan a ‘warmonger’ who was ‘trying to outdo’ rival news correspondent Anderson Cooper.”
Nir sounds like a Muslim. You punish the girl who gets raped. Not the guys who do it.
I am too. Everybody, put down your politics for 2 secs and be a human being for God’s sake. She was a reporter covering a news story. Whether she supported the revolution or not, whether she was a lib or not...none of that matters. Debbie Schluessel’s comments are just as bad as Nir Rosen’s. Shame on both of them. Shame on the left. Shame on the right. SHAME!!!!
Mrs. Logan and her family will be in my prayers.
What ever happened to the time-honored tradition of keeping your FREEKING MOUTH SHUT?
Did Debbie Schussel say that Logan deserved to be raped or molested?
No? Then why is she totally out of line?
Its cognitive dissonance taken to a brutal extreme.
Real Muslims in the Mid-East (not the ones on exhibit by CBS or CNN) tell us all the time - uncovered women are whores, women from the corrupt west are whores, and women travelling without male relatives are whores.
CBS and Ms. Logan have heard this 1000 times, yet their ideology did not allow them to understand the words.
You can’t criticize third world Muslim barbarians, so you have to blame the victim.
off with her head?
The Muzzies use rape as a form of jihad by the followers of Islam. If Logan had ever mentioned that she would have been attacked by the Left as being a racist.
Exactly. There was almost universal condemnation on this forum of Nir Rosen’s comments; now I’m frankly shocked at the tenor of some of the responses here to Debbie Schlussel’s.
I’m as partisan as the next person, sometimes, but I’m increasingly convinced that politics has poisoned our humanity, as well as our ability to reason.
Do you think she should be whipped to death? stoned to death? or beheaded for the crime of being raped?
Also, do you think a $200 fine for the rapists is too high?
Thank you, and keep hammering that in.
Some here don't seem to realize that many of our overseas Embassy staff are female, are are many of the overseas dependents of male staffers.
Do they expect them to all submit to sharia in islamic turd world countries by wearing hijab, abaya or burkas and blame them if the get molested or raped by a savage pack of koranimals?
The world is not a safe place... and some us have to be in unpleasant places, and deal with unpleasant people so we can do our jobs - for the safety and benefit of others.
Thank you. I've just avoided these threads because they are so disgusting.
Debbie, nobody told you to go there (metaphorically speaking) either, but you did anyway.
There isn’t any justification for what happened. But the point here is that Logan has been a cheerleader for Islam and her own network covered up this attack so it would’t have to report the truth about how Islam operates.
And by the way, actually somebody did tell Lara Logan to go there. CBS News told her to go there and get the story.
It doesn’t matter if you’re right.
You can NEVER win with this argument.
Schussel just picked a losing battle.
Snoop Dog...is that you?
Well - she shouldn't have dressed that way. Even a first time tourist to Egypt knows enough to wear a blouse buttoned up.
