For the second time in a week, conservative commentator Ann Coulter said this country needs N.J. Gov. Chris Christie to run for president, reports The Hill.
I dont care if [Chris Christie] wants to run, his country needs him, it appears, Coulter said in a Monday interview with Fox News. There are a few things hes a little bit soft on We have to run somebody and if we dont run Chris Christie, its going to be Romney because Republican primary voters for some reason refuse to do any research before voting. They vote for the name of anyone theyve ever heard before.
During her speech at Saturdays Conservative Political Action Conference, Coulter said President Barack Obama will be reelected for a 2012 presidency if Christie decides not to run against him.
If we dont run Chris Christie, Romney will be the nominee and well lose, Coulter said.
These comments show a change in Coulters opinion of Romney, who she dubbed our strongest candidate in 2008.

Huh. I agree with pissant about something.
I better get checked out.
Won’t she ever just go away. Ignorance is not bliss while America is in such a crisis.
If your only choices were Christie, Romney, Huckabee or Palin, what would you do Pissant, what would you do?
Coulter is right. Right now we have a piss poor crop of candidates (Romney, Huckabee, Palin, Paul, Gingrich..oh yeah and Trump)none of whom stand a chance. The left wing media attack machine would have a great time with any of the above. Why is our field of candidates so poor? Is there such a dearth of talent in the Republican Party that Mitt Romney is the best we can come up with?
You may not always agree with Christie, but he’s going to mean what he says, and say what he means. He’ll also act on his beliefs, rather than stick his finger in the air and try to figure out what he believes.
Coulter said if we don’t get Christie, Romney will get the nomination and Obama will win. Sadly, I agree.
What this country needs is Allen West! A man that respects the Constitution and loves this countrya man that is a PROVEN LEADER!
Isn’t he a gun-grabber who has no problem with a WTC mosque? The Northeast sure does screw up a lot of so-called conservatives’ heads.
Right. And if those beliefs include grabbing guns, then what?
This country doesn’t need a prez that appoints judges who appoint Sharia-Law sympathizers to the court, as Christy did.
No thanks and NO THANKS !
DeMint will improve things. Far superior to Christie
if he is successful in castrating the public sector unions in Wisconsin... I would rather have Scott Walker.
Much better
What happend to your Bachmann tag pissant?
Seriously though, we will never find a perfect candidate.
Christie is a man of action and I like him.
However, he is not running and we still have the entire primary season to sift out who has what it takes.
That’s what primaries are for.
Likewise...but I haven’t been feeling well.
This country doesnt need a prez that appoints judges who are Sharia-Law sympathizers to the court, as Christy did.
No thanks and NO THANKS !
(fixed)
Know-it-all Coulter flubs again!!!
Picking one of these two RINOS is not an option.
It's time to elect a real Conservative!!!
Well... he’d be better than Romney in at least two vital respects: Christie is honest; he tends to say what he thinks rather than what he thinks his audience wants to hear. That would be refreshing. And also, he didn’t author a government health-care takeover that is bankrupting the state over which he served as chief executive. Past that, I’d prefer a real conservative. Although we haven’t had a really fat guy in the Oval Office since Taft, and I might respect a man who could eat six eggs and bacon for breakfast every day and sport a four-digit cholesterol count. At least we’d know he’s human.
