The interview is well worth watching. Certainly quite a different account from the Ghandi and MLK like like non-violent terms used by Obama to describe the protests.

I’m not stupid. I saw the rock throwing and firebombings in the earliest reports (Before the supposed “pro government thugs” showed up)

I also never heard how the media proved the pro government thugs were who the media said they were.

I’m still waiting for further commentary on the 10s of thousands of prison inmates who “escaped”.

Well, Obama said the Egyptian protests were carried out in the best non-violent tradition of Ghandi and MLK so, that's good enough for me. /sarc

Where are the details, bodies, etc.? In her interview, the reporter said anyone accused of being an infiltrator was summarily lynched.

No doubt we'll be told all martyrs were killed by pro-Mubarak thugs.

Things are about to get a lot worse in Egypt. Tourism dollars will be spent in safer countries and food prices will continue to rise.

I see lots of bloodshed in the near future.

I saw a larger view of that pic and you may be looking into the eyes of several of her attackers. Look at the eyes in the crowd. Scanty reports but it has been said in various reports that her group was attacked by a group of over 200. She was tortured, beaten and raped (yes Oprah, real rape rape)repeatedly overnight and the next day. Eventually, some of the local women in the neighborhood got curious and found out about what was going on (where are all the men and boys disappearing to? What's going on over there?) and found out and brought the police into the scene in force. She amazingly survived. I doubt she will ever fully recover. Very sad, but seriousely, what did they expect?
