Sarah Palin's favorite word in describing America is "exceptional." She uses the term in her book "America by Heart" as it relates to Alexis de Tocqueville, a Frenchman who traveled through the United States in the early 1830s.
Tocqueville was sent to America in 1831 by the new French king Louis-Phillipe of Orleans to study the prison system. Instead, Tocqueville ended up taking notes on every aspect of American life, society and government during his nine month sojourn in North America.
The French philosopher predicted many things in his book "Democracy in America" -- slavery splitting the nation, religious fervor in every aspect of American life and America's foreign influence. Palin uses her mention of Tocqueville to claim America's exceptional democracy is what makes our country great today nearly 200 years since his visit.
In just about every speech Palin makes, the word "exceptional" is used. She started out defending herself after Rep. Gabrielle Gifford's assassination attempt claiming she loves "exceptional America." She defended gun rights at the Safari Club International convention in Las Vegas with America's exceptional values
Is Palin exceptional herself?(continued)

Is this the same BROWNING who trashed the Palin’s for naming their child, Trig, after a part of a gun? The boy is a few bricks short of a load.
I mean really its for your own good, they always talk about "Revolution, Change America, down with the Righ-Wingers" well hells bells what happens if you Putzes LOOSE your little Revolution have you ever thought of that?
The writer of the article was probably drooling while composing it. What a self-loathing putz. Obviously, a victim of public education standards.
Were she prez, at least we’d have real hope & real change.
Not that there is anything wrong with the name.
Could it be short for trigonometry? Lots of parents enjoy just making up names. You see it all the time in the NFL and NBA.
and “the god” Obama uses “extraordinary” in almost every sentence....guess that is okay.
The real hope and change that is needed can be found in one source and one source only..The LORD GOD Almighty...

2nd Chronicles 7:14
if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land...
This crap from liberals that because conservatives miss the more traditional America of earlier years (before the left corrupted our culture), we somehow want a return to slavery is really getting tiresome.
The idiots also don’t understand that not all of the founders were slave owners or pro-slavery. Adams and Franklin were just two of them who opposed slavery.

Written by a man who describes himself as an accomplished writer....
“William Browning
Welcome! My name is William Browning. I am an accomplished writer, in love with my beautiful wife and am blessed with two precious children who teach me something new every day.”
When I read, “We would also have our demands met, no matter what,” I see it as a veiled attempt to cast Sarah Palin as some domineering demanding hen pecker that Mr. Browning may experience from his own wife. This is just a misogynist vibe I read so often and now I am getting it from Mr. Browning.
However, my big complaint with his piece is his attempt to portray Sarah Palin as someone living in the 1830s. For that he should receive a golden turkey award. He is of course confusing policy with America’s founding principles. Those principles have taken this nation through many obstacles and challenges. For that, I Mr. Browning shows his blindness to America’s exceptionalism. He has no idea of the historical context of an era when counting slaves as 3/5 of a person was an attempt to bring fairness in the electorate. A lesser nation would have never bothered to consider such an effort. He also fails to see the demographic context of an era when it was seen as unfair to give women the right to vote. What Browning fails to understand is that it was due to America’s exceptionalism that such efforts at fairness were replaced with a better way, that gave all Americans a voice in this great nation. For Browning fails to see that it is that same spirit to make America better that is embodied in Sarah Palin. It is that spirit of freedom that has been with this country from the very beginning.
It is not a desire to go back to yesteryear’s practices, but to continue forward in that spirit which sets the individual free to make the most of their God given opportunity. It is that spirit of freedom that Sarah Palin is setting ablaze throughout this nation as a torch to pass on to the next generation.
It makes me wonder what kind of torch that Mr. Browning is thinking of passing on to his children and future generations?
The author is noted to be a “research librarian” that worked for the Obama campaign. Take this supposition from his article:
“Palin wants America to return to the exceptional times of the 1830s. Those were times when whites owned slaves, people had to own property to vote and women had no votes.”
How he was able to divine this, he dosn’t explain. But then again, liberals don’t have to explain what that dung heap they call their brain produces. It’s a Palin hit piece, and that’s all the muster it has to pass for a “research librarian” enthralled with Obama.
William Browning is a research librarian specializing in U.S. politics. Born in St. Louis, Browning is active in local politics and served as a campaign volunteer for President Barack Obama and Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill.
Apparently, his children haven't finished his education, but perhaps they can ask him a few questions when he defends his thesis.
Dad, how much are you going to leave us in your estate so we don't have to live in poverty paying off the government debt?
Dad, isn't a slave someone who is forced to work for someone else, or am I missing something?
Dad, is it true that when I grow up the government will make all the hard decisions for me, like what I eat, what I drive, where I live in, and what to think?

True - that’s why I’ve been saying that here on FR for years. I was simply suggesting that she’s authentic...he’s a counterfeit.
