Why should a person be denied the ability to defend themselves? Sure, a blind person has to work around their limitations, but so do other people. If they have to wait until in physical contact with the attacker to effectively use the gun for self defense, that is just another limitation.

How/where does a blind person practice or improve their marksmanship? I don’t know of any range that would allow a blind person to use their facility.

If the left didn’t use clauses like this to deny permits to legitmate applicants, then they would not need to be removed. I would rather depend on the common sense of the blind than the common sense of a liberal bureaucrat.

Just get a seeing-gun dog.
To: marktwain
Good grief!
How ridiculous can the LEFT get?
The LEFT assumes you have NO COMMON SENSE.
Next the LEFT will claim paraplegic, those paralyzed from the waist down and those without limbs will be able to have guns and SHOOT them too!

Another example of the old adage: “No man’s life, liberty or property are safe when the Legislature is in session.”

no idea but I don’t want to be around when a blind person starts shooting.
It would be like the wild west again.
Near me in this town we have the FL death and blind school.
The schools has hundred of blind people.
Not sure of KS has a college like that. but
Now imagine on campus when a shot goes off and hundreds of blind people get their guns and start blazing thinking that it is their life in danger even if it is not because they can’t see what is happening.
LOL It’s totally nuts

LOL, They do. They really have braille at the ATM drive thru.
How exactly is the blind person supposed to be driving to get there? LOL

A person can be “legally blind”, with vision bad enough that they can’t read documents or drive, yet still be more than capable of shooting an assailant. Keep in mind that most violent assaults occur at arms-reach distance.

“FL death and blind school.”
opps? LOL
To: PapaBear3625
That’s what I first thought of when I read the headline...not fully blind people.
To: marktwain
Maybe when/if I go blind I'll think different, but it strikes me as a not so great idea to have people who can't decern between me, every other pedestrian within 500 yards, and an attacker.
How could they identify their target and know who their shooting at? Over even get anything beyond a vague "He's ovah' there! I think!"

LOL so in order for the blind person to use the braille the driver would have to back in thus probably causing an accident just so the blind person can use the braille ATM.
Here we have I think the biggest campus for deaf and blind in the country so obviously I see many death and blind every day in town but I’ve never noticed the ATM’s having this but I will be looking next time .
The world has gone mad, Homosexuals and cross dressers allowed in the military basing sexauly preference for civil rights now.
Braille at the drive thru ATM
What’s next deaf people working for the NSA listening in on calls?
The world has gone mad I tell ye gone mad

I see fine with my glasses, yet would be considered legally blind without them. I make a point of occasionally practicing without my glasses (but, yes, WITH safety goggles!) at targets up to 7 yards.
The reason is that I might find myself having to fight without my glasses (either from them being knocked off at the start of the fight or being surprised while sleeping) and it's good to practice such scenarios.
