Conservative commentator Ann Coulter brought today's audience at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington to its feet in applause after urging the Republican party to include gays - perhaps getting the last word on the place gays have in the conservative movement after a tussle that pitted social conservatives against libertarians at this year's conference.
"The left is trying to co-opt gays," she said. "They should be on our side."
The fight over the Republican party's acceptance of gay conservatives and gay rights came to a head at CPAC, after organizers invited the gay conservative group GOProud to be an official participant. Some social conservative groups protested the convention as a result, but gay conservatives and their allies this week declared victory, observing that they were well-received at the event.

Sorry Ann, perversion is the exclusive domain of democrats. That includes perversion of Democracy as well as the perversion of the soul.
As a libertarian/conservative I have no problem with what perverts do in private. I do have a major problem when perversion is taught/presented to my children as normal.
As far as the homo’s can keep their perversion in their bedroom, and they at least vote for fiscal conservatism as well as not spreading their homo perversion socially. I have no problem with letting them in the tent.
But when these perverted individuals push their perversion.. like homo mirage. Then they must leave the tent... or I will.
Ann Coulter is plain WRONG on this issue.
You do not need formal recognition of a homosexual organization like GOProud for gays to be accepted in the GOP. People normally tend to treat other people with dignity and respect. Get rid of a special organization and recognition because homosexuality is abnormal and unnatural, introduces risk to mental and physical health. It is wrong to pretend otherwise!
Well, unless gays want to learn what REAL persecution feels like—under Sharia law—gay people had better run, not walk, away from the left and its denial of the radical Islamic threat.
