No, it is not President Barack Obama who rescued General Motors from bankruptcy in order to require that it begin building obscenely expensive electric cars that will get you anywhere you want to go so long it’s not farther away than forty miles.
It is, of course, Al Gore and you can read more of his insane ravings in “Earth in the Balance”, published initially just prior to serving as the 45th Vice President of the United States during Bill Clinton’s two terms from 1993 to 2001. In 2000 he was the Democratic Party candidate for President, losing to George W. Bush after an election so close the Supreme Court had to make the final call.
After his defeat, Al Gore apparently decided that, if he could not be President, he could at least become obscenely wealthy by co-founding and becoming chairman of Generation Investment Management, focusing on “sustainable investing.” He co-founded and became chairman of Current TV, a cable and satellite television network “for young people based on viewer-created content and citizen journalism.” Current just hired Keith Olbermann, formerly of MSNBC.

The same court recently rejected the appeals of the lengthy sentences of the 137 alleged UN “scientists” – Gore’s co-conspirators – for falsifying data supporting so-called Cap and Trade legislation that trial testimony disclosed would have virtually destroyed what remained of the U.S. economy while unjustly enriching Gore and a cabal of insiders.
During his trial, Gore was notified by the Nobel Committee that he would have to return the large monetary prize and the gold metal awarded him in 2009. He told reporters that the last of his prize money and the 100 million or so he’d bilked from taxpayers while running his scam had gone to the lawyers and Tipper pawned his medal when she left him for an achondroplastic dwarf NBA center and filed for divorce after his conviction.
I remember Dan Quayle (yeah, that Dan Quayle) was able to clobber Gore in their Vice-Presidential debate just by reading excerpts from “Earth in the Balance”.

Now that Keith Olberman is on Gore’s cable channel his viewership has escalated to 18,000 people, four cats and a wombat.

I firmly believe that’s what happened. Old Al was personally devastated by his defeat. I believe the man collected himself, took inventory of his position, and decided he could become weathy beyond most people’s wildest dreams by pushing this hoax. As with any chronic liar, tell the lie often enough, and passionately enough, and you begin to believe it yourself.
Al got a C in physical science. There is no way he has any idea what he’s talking about. But he does know it made him rich. And he has a hardcore base that wants to believe in AGW, even if they are trapped, snow bound in frigid conditions.
In a just world, Al Gore would be made penniless and publicly flogged. He is no less of a terrorist than is Hamas or muslim Brotherhood.
