A Muslim advocacy group in the US is trying to build a more positive picture of its religion on the screen.
After years of watching Muslims portrayed as terrorists in mainstream TV and movies, an advocacy group hopes to change that image by grooming a crop of aspiring Muslim screenwriters who can bring their stories — and perspective — to Hollywood.
The Muslim Public Affairs Council is hosting a series of workshops taught by Emmy-winning and Oscar-nominated veterans over the next month, an initiative that builds on the group's outreach for a more representative picture of Muslim-Americans on the screen.
The workshops are the natural evolution of MPAC's efforts to lobby TV networks and movie studios from the outside, and they fit into a small, but growing, movement to get more Muslim-Americans behind the cameras.

A sitcom would be perfect. A 16 year old daughter dating a non-muslim, we could have a honor killing. Or the marriage between an uncle and his 13 year old niece. How about an episode about stoning of an adulterous wife, when the husband has two others already. This sounds like great fun.
I remember the Muslim community had very positive things to say about a 1975 movie titled “The Wind and the Lion” staring Sean Connery, Candice Bergen, Brian Keith, and John Huston. Of course I wouldn’t recommend it for that reason, but it is a great movie. If all Middle East leaders actually behave according to the illusion Sean Connery created there would be few problems.

Have someone make the TRUE HISTORY OF ISLAM and how they massacred people and WHY the Crusades happened. Hell, they were trying to takeover then.
Hollywood is this country’s biggest problem.
The place is filled with liberals, queers, and idiots who do not live real lives, but play lives.
The movies of the past showed patriots and the movies were made by patriots, Men like Clark gable Jimmy Stewart Lee Marvin and others who served this country, Women who served in their own way like Martha Raye, Carol Lombard, Josephine Baker and Hedy Lamarr.
Todays movies are made by men who never served and women with mental problems.All liberal and thinking their opinion is the only one worthwhile.
Hollywood has slowly crippled America’s thinkling.
The question naturally arises, with all their oil money why don’t the Musleems finance their own movies and create their own “Hollywood”? Or just buy one of the existing studios like Sony or GE did? The answer is that it’s more convenient to use the cover of the existing brand names to peddle their propaganda in pursuit of the soft takeover of the US and its onversion to a sharia-compliant colony.
