2 suspects in armored truck robbery committed similar crime before, reports show(IL)

Two men police say were involved in a botched armored truck robbery Friday on Chicago's West Side had previously committed similar robberies together nearly 22 years ago, according to records.

The most recent incident, which happened in front of a Family Dollar store in the 3400 block of West Chicago Avenue, left one man dead and another wounded, both shot by security guards whom the men allegedly held up with a handgun and a fake shotgun, authorities said.

It's too bad these two weren't kept in jail for their own safety. Your can buy a real shotgun for $100 bucks. Maybe they planned on getting real guns once they got the money from the first heist.
