This is very scary for the U.S. Most Americans do not have a clue. Israel is in big trouble as is Europe. I really wonder what the administration is thinking, I read Obama was pushing for this for 2 years.

Yep over at DU they are saying the the muslim brotherhood are really good guys,it is America who has made them look like bad guys...
Israel has a right to be scared, Egypt has a big military who i believe will be hostile towards Israel now.

Goes back farther; westernizing the middle east seems to be the long-term U.S. plan. A little at a time, with our camel (malls, hollywood, music) trying to push it's nose into their tent faster than their camel (migration and conversion) can push his nose into ours.

To many of their young people, the appeal of the west is much more powerful than a life of deserts and no fun. They have an enormous amount of interest in the web; their facebook entries are loaded with western music, movies and culture, but at the same time have a large smattering of hardcore islam. Young people, of course, are very impressionable. Hopefully our camel wins the race, but it seems tricky. It's like trying to keep a friend from partying too much by hanging around with them and being a good influence on them: you have to make sure they're not changing you faster than you're changing them.
