Yes, it was reported last week that he was under house arrest. Now he's in the city square flapping his gums.
What happened? Is he loose on purpose? Something weird with this whole picture.
He should have been deported to Elba at the first signs of unrest in the streets.
Historical mistake.
I keep smelling the smelly hands of Obama, Soros and the U.N. in this whole unfolding melodrama.

Approaching the point of no return for the current government. If the regime can't control the streets, and the opposition leaders are sitting side by side with the military in the town square,... well, what are you really in control of?
It seems like no one likes the current government, but the military is not yet ready to turn on them. They seem totally unwilling to put down the protests. Even allowing the protestors to paint anti-Mubarak slogans on their vehicles.
This situation can't last for too much longer. At some point, the military will have to do something to restore order.

Mohamed ElBaradei: 'It is total chaos. Mubarak must go'
Pro-democracy (ahem?!?) activist Mohamed ElBaradei described the situation in the country as "total chaos", saying that President Mubarak must stand down immediately so that free and fair elections can be held.

Yep. And probably worse. I believe this fellow covered for the Iranian Nuke Weapons programs long enough for them to get well established. I think he is in bed with the thugs in Iran.

Once El Baradei serves his purpose, he will be gone as well. We have just to look at Iran in 1979 to see how the interim government between the Shah and Khomeini was toppled and replaced.
