An interview with newly elected Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie that addressed Barack Obama's presidential eligibility has prompted two opposing interpretations by legacy media – one insisting the governor has resolved the issue and the other concluding he effectively has admitted he can't find the long-form birth certificate that would help put the controversy to rest.
The New York Daily News apparently found the interview published Tuesday by the Honolulu Star-Advertiser reason to declare final victory over "conspiracy theorists," but ABC News featured a story on its website pointing out Abercrombie has not delivered the promised proof.
After WND's report of the interview Wednesday – emphasizing Abercrombie tacitly has admitted an investigation he first mentioned in December has failed to produce a birth certificate – the New York Daily News declared in its headline, "Record of President Obama's birth in 1961 is 'in the archives': Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie."
The Daily News lead paragraph stated: "Officials in Hawaii have tracked down papers indicating that President Obama was indeed born in their state, according to its new governor."

Abecrombe has asked for the BC and it cannot be found.
He has proved that at this time , Obama cannot prove he is eligible to meet the requirements to hold his office.
Once it’s proven beyond all doubt , MSM and even Conservative pundits ( except Wnd ) can then began the process to question the lack of his being able to prove his eligibility to hold office.
Like the Rather-Mapes letter, it will soon be a pile on with each claiming to have known before the others.
These papers were found right under a bill of sale proving that Hawaii had purchased the Brooklyn Bridge back in 1950.
Oh my... a "conspiracy" ... Barack Obama is a conspiracy of ONE!
All Barry has had to do for the past 2.5 years is fill out a form to release his birth certificate to the state of Hawaii and this "conspiracy" is over!!
As usual for all the ignorant people out there a "birth certificate" lists the hospital Barry was born in and the name of the doctor who delivered him!
they wont’ do anything about it, but, none of us can work in this country without proving who we are.
Then bring on the forgery and insert it in the Hawaiian government records. Go ahead and do it Obama.
But a word of caution Obama, it better be a perfect operation, and don’t be so sure that everyone is not willing to blow the whistle on the crime, or there are people just waiting for you and Abercrombie to commit such a crime before you get taken down for fraud.

To me, to be eligible, Obama needs that Birth Certificate to prove that his father is not Barack Obama Sr.

This guy has done exactly that - aided by what may be a little senile dementia, or thinking that the old media rules are still in place, ala Dan Rather.
He fabricated a story intended to defuse what he perceived to be an error of omission on Hussein’s part, but he got blindsided by the internet, demanding proof of his specious allegations.

I was never a birther, just skeptical, but now I am inclined to believe that there is indeed no BC for Hussein.

I just heard a small portion of Limbaugh today and what I heard was kind of frustrating.
It’s good that he’s finally talking about it.
But, he felt that this was all a ruse and soon Barry would say
“ Shazaaam “ here’s my BC to embarrass the right.
Rush may not be up to speed on the number of members of the military who jettisoned their careers because they wanted Barry to produce his BC.
And he ignored them.
If Barry suddenly produces a document now
when he ignored the repeated requests from the military,
I hope there will be an uproar about why the Commander in Chief
refused to do it for them.
I hope LTC Lakin’s family yells the loudest.
Or he can himself, when he gets out
of the USDB at Ft Leavenworth.
