Anybody know what the law is in Indianapolis for shooting an burglar while he is fleeing?

I would assume he was shot in the ass becasue he was fleeing from inside the house

Please allow me to hijack this thread for a joke:

Homeowner wounds a burglar with his .45.

Upon recovering from his wounds, the burglar retains a lawyer, with the intent to sue the homeowner.

The lawyer sends the homeowner a very probing inquiry, demanding to know the limits of the homeowner’s insurance.

The homeowner jot’s a quick note on the form and returns it.

The note read:
“About 1200 ft. per second”
