Via Philip Klein, I cant decide whether shes serious or whether this is part of the Democrats new kitchen-sink approach to messaging about ObamaCare. She might be calculating that even an argument as inane as this one is worth making in order to counter the GOPs claims that O-Care is unconstitutional. If youre battling over public opinion, why not frame the other sides actions as being as illegitimate as your own? So on the one hand, maybe she doesnt really buy this and is simply engaged in a shrewd bit of PR. On the other hand dude. Thus do nine-month-old legislatively-granted entitlements, some of which havent even taken effect yet, become rights. If you take this idea seriously, then meaningful reform of Social Security and Medicare (which Lee presumably would describe as property for Due Process purposes) would require constitutional amendments, which in turn would utterly paralyze a process thats already close to total paralysis. Or have I misunderstood? If shes suggesting that some lesser process is due than a full Article V amendment, then, er, shouldnt a repeal bill duly enacted by Congress suffice? Or is the argument here that people with preexisting conditions, say, have always had a right to coverage under the Constitution and only lately have we progressed to the point where were willing to recognize that right? In that case, whyd they have to pass a bill last year? Patients should have simply sued and let the courts find a right to coverage in the penumbras of the Commerce Clause or whatever.

What a moron. Why doesn’t the black race disown her?
Political correctness is communist propaganda writ small. In my study of communist societies, I came to the conclusion that the purpose of communist propaganda was not to persuade or convince, nor to inform, but to humiliate; and therefore, the less it corresponded to reality the better. When people are forced to remain silent when they are being told the most obvious lies, or even worse when they are forced to repeat the lies themselves, they lose once and for all their sense of probity. To assent to obvious lies is to co-operate with evil, and in some small way to become evil oneself. One's standing to resist anything is thus eroded, and even destroyed. A society of emasculated liars is easy to control. I think if you examine political correctness, it has the same effect and is intended to."
No, Sheila Jackson Lee is just STUPID!
I remember that excerpt and it is a really good analysis of what wen on back then and now. Shared lies that are obvious lies
“She is perfectly representative of her constituency...”
She is, however, a mite smarter than her constituents. But, she is still a dullard and lowers the IQ of any building she enters.
Another total idiot is the Jehmoo lady on Fox. When she starts talking, she won't let up until she has reiterated all of the talking points she memorized.
If thats true, then under the same "pursuit of happiness" language, I declare myself the King of France ...
“Who elected this moron???”
What’s even more amazing is that the guy that wrote the article is engaging in a serious analysis of her moronic comment!!!
“The US should secede from California.”
I don’t necessarily disagree with your sentiment, but Texas is the proud owner of this particular imbecile.
We californicators are proud owners of two other geniuses: Maxine Waters and the other Lee - Barbara.
Yeah, my error was already pointed out (and replied to) above. Really, all three are apparently from Obama’s 58th state - Moonbat (and yes, I meant “fifty-eight” - ya gotta check B.O.’s original quote on that).
No she was looking for the Luna lander on mars, wanted the gold to cap her teeth. LOL
