Franklin Graham Says Obama, Tucson Memorial Service 'Scoffed' at Jesus

President Obama garnered praise from across the political spectrum for his moving speech last week at the memorial service for the Tucson shooting victims, including from his usual critics on the right, but the Rev. Franklin Graham can't be counted among them.

In a speech on Tuesday at John Brown University, a private Christian college in Siloam Springs, Ark., the son of the revered evangelist Billy Graham voiced "dismay" at the way the Tucson memorial service was conducted, arguing that it was not as explicitly religious -- apparently meaning "Christian" -- as those following the Oklahoma City bombing and the 9/11 attacks.

Graham was particularly upset that the Tucson memorial featured a Native American who called upon "father sky and mother earth," according to a Christian Post account of Graham's chapel service comments.

Good, about time someone told the truth about the speech.

It was down right creepy when big sis and holder read from the bible.

I’m liking Franklin Graham more and more. This guy has called out Islam and refused to back down and now he’s calling out the pagans at the pep rally/campaign kickoff.

I don't recall hearing any prayers for the deceased, comfort and peace for those who mourn, for healing of those who were injured, etc.

Someone has pointed out that all the scriptures were read not by any sort of pastor but by government officials.

Sounds like a good man. I thought that his father was a bit of a wimp when it came to politics.

I like Franklin Graham a lot, too. He’s one of the few who speaks up.

And he’s absolutely right about this “memorial service.” It was meant to show that the religion of the majority, Christianity, isn’t important here anymore, and that it’s time to wipe out our Judeo-Christian background.

Of course, we can ignore the fact that Giffords was Jewish, the judge who was killed was on his way back from morning Mass, the little girl was buried with a Catholic funeral (and the other three people killed just disappeared from the press, so they were probably Christians too) just so long as Barry got his PC shaman howling his pagan nonsense on national television.

Franklin is a real man. He has all the qualities of a leader.
I have watched him for years maturing and it makes me proud to be on the same wave link as he is. I hope more people take note of him. He has alot of his moms spirit. She was a tough lady.

That’s because Hussein is a muslim.

I read this week that after Hussein left the stage of the rally and was behind the staging area, he and The First Wookie laughed and high-fived, because they were so pleased with his “performance” for the Sheeple.

I knew better than to watch that travesty. We all knew what it would be.

Even Satan reads scripture. He just doesn’t want to believe what it says (see the temptation of Christ in the desert).

All I heard was this poser insinuating he’d miraculously made Giffords open her eyes for the very first time. He WAS mocking Jesus.

Franklin Graham is my hero, so courageous, so much more courageous than his father (not meant as a trash of dad, just calling it like it is) dad was more worried about what people thought of him.

Franklin states that Islam is evil, he openly questions Obamas so called Christian faith, and rightly so.

Anybody that supports abortion in any way shape or form does not have the Spirit of Christ within them. I would even go as far as saying that anybody that votes Democrat does not have the Spirit of Christ within them
