First a disclaimer: I am not a doctor nor have any formal medical training, so do your own research.

Every person reacts differently to whatever they ingest or put on their skin or spray into their mouths. This applies to the items I am about to share.

As someone who often endures severe pain and regularly sees a pain management team of doctors, I obviously receive all kinds of prescription pain killers - which I do my best to avoid taking, trying to live through the pain instead. Till I simply have to cave.

Thus I have been experimenting and searching for alternate solutions to prescriptions. Or a combination which reduces the use of the prescriptions.

This combination has become the best, though somewhat expensive, solution (suits me, not necessarily everyone):

1. Prescription Arthrotec 75 - a mix of two ingredients, which come only as the (expensive) brand name BUT each of the two comes as a very inexpensive, individual generic.

I am supposed to take two a day but partly because of price and partly because it is so effective for me, I usually end up taking one very two or three days.

It is like pouring plentiful water on the flames of my body and soothes in an unbelievable fashion. I could not believe it and came across this when a friend received some samples from his doctor for a pinched nerve and let me have a couple of tablets to try.

There are potential negative side effects so PLEASE check this out for yourself and do NOT take my word for anything.

Tolerances also vary person to person so what's good for me may not be good or even bad for you.

2. An enzyme “Wobenzym N” discovered some 50-years ago in Germany and apparently only just appearing in the USA. They come in bottles of 200, 400 and 800 tablets and are not cheap.

Though readily available on the Internet at various prices some stores like Mothers Market sometimes have better prices, so visit these too.

I take three tablets two or three times a day. Two at a time might suffice - apparently works better an hour before or an hour after a meal.

3. The third item can be found among the vitamins at Costco and I use it with the WobEnzym N in the morning and at night. It's called Celadrin and is claimed to be a “lubricant” for joints.

AGAIN, please do not take what I use as a formula to follow. Like the prescription meds, I listen to my body and skip taking these, too.

In closing, I will give the Cobroxin a try. For some reason the prescription pain medications seem to mask the pain but then let it return with a vengeance, needing more medication.

This does not happen with the above items I use, though they fade in effect if not taken often enough.

BTW the Wobenzym N works well with the Arthrotec 75 and the two together are better than each alone.

Please do your own research and reach your own conclusions and make your own decisions. I am only sharing what works for ME.

Thanks for the anecdotes. I have never heard of Arthrotec 75 or WobEnzym N. I will have to look into them.

I am sorry to hear that you are in chronic pain. As a person who was suffering from a number of health problems which got worse after I was a crime victim in 1968, I have spent the rest of my life learning how to heal myself, and subsequently how to help others. I get the impression that you may have joint or arthritic type problems. I would be happy to make some suggestions that could help if you would care to tell me more about your situation. You can private message me if you wish. If I had been stronger and had money I probably would have become a doctor. However, I have been able to help some who gave up on doctors after years of suffering.

Pain killers are a real problem, because in addition to the physical pain, there is often also emotional pain. Any effective pain killer has the potential to become addictive, because when you stop using it both the mental and physical pain can resurface with a vengance. I believe Freud said cocaine was a fine pain killer, and we all know where that has led.

For some reason the prescription pain medications seem to mask the pain but then let it return with a vengeance, needing more medication.

My guess there is a two-fold reason for this.

One, you push you body beyond its damaged limits when on painkillers. As you undoubtedly know pain is the body's way of warning you to stop doing what you're doing to avoid further damage.

Second, those painkillers undoubtedly suppress your body's natural painkillers, enorphins. They are released in response to stress, strenuous bodily functions and pain. Painkillers have a way of inhibiting these stimuli.

So when the painkillers wear off, your body has probably been overexerted and your natural ability to handle pain has been blunted.

I have had back pain and neck pain for some years now and one thing that helped me is giving up carbonated beverages. It appears that they are terrible to the musculo-skeletal system, draining the blood of calcium to rebuild it, inhibiting absorbtion of minerals and other nutrients for the maintenance and repair of bones and body tissues, and to me, seemed to cause inflammation. I'm able to pop my joints much more easily now.

I have also hear of people having great success with glucosamine and fish oil. Good luck with your problem.

"There are lot of big successful companies that started in a basement, a garage, or a dorm room, but by the time they became public they were a decent size and grew rapidly. They didn't just sit there at ten cents a share for several years."

I checked, and the company was only started in 2000. My own small firm has been ongoing for about thirteen years, and our market breakthrough is just happening. High-tech success takes TIME if it happens at all. And I know other small companies that have never reached a big market breakthrough, but are nonetheless successful in that the doors stay open, bills stay paid, product moves, and people stay employed. The fact that they are small doesn't make them frauds, which is what you are implying. Yes, some VERY lucky firms take off sooner and bigger, but most have "instant success after twenty years of hard work". Your criterion is simply NUTS.

This is a thirteen cent a share bulletin board stock. That's all anyone should need to know. Stay away!

With all due respect, what scientific connection between the two. Would you mind to explain more clearly???

the doors stay open, bills stay paid, product moves, and people stay employed.

Ken Lay, Bernie Ebbers, and Bernie Madoff did just that (until somebody closed the doors for them).

The fact that they are small doesn't make them frauds, which is what you are implying.

I'm not implying anything. I am saying to beware of any "too good to be true" claim by a penny stock company on the bulletin board exchange. Your claim that I'm knocking small companies is nothing more than a strawman.

LOL, the first sentence of your reply continues to imply that Nutra Pharm is fraudulent, and the second claims you're not saying that.

I'm sorry, but the phrase "too good to be true" implies that they are making fraudulent claims.

“Today we call the drugs found naturally therein as “Lovastatin”. Generically, statins. “

Red Rice Yeast has way fewer side effects than statin drugs.

"I'm sure there are better ways to waste your money."

I've used Cobroxin with good results and no side effects have been noticed. That would not put the product in 'scam' territory.

"I’d want to see a list of side effects before even trying it."

My bottle of oral spray does not have a list of side effects on it, but I have not experienced any in many, many months of use.
