The chairman of the House Committee on Homeland Security Peter King, R-New York, announced today that he will introduce a bill that would ban knowingly carrying a firearm within 1,000 feet of certain high-profile government officials.

[Mayor Michael Bloomberg] and I have discussed that we are introducing in the next several weeks legislation which would make it a federal crime to carry a weapon within 1,000 feet of any event which is attended by the President, the Vice President, members of the Senate, members of the House of Representatives, Cabinet officials, including the CIA director as well as federal judges,” King announced this morning at City Hall in New York City.

This is standard politician BS. It's a shame that it's now coming from a supposed ‘republican’. A solution in search of a problem. Mr. King, if you are so concerned, get off of guns and concentrate on the socialization of America. Concentrate on stopping Obama and let law abiding gun owners alone. Criminals are just that, they don't need no steekin’ laws and they don't obey no steenkin’ laws.

This is the same Peter King who simply loves the terrorist gun-toting IRA. Not only is he a POS but hypocritical one to boot.

And make it illegal to give anything but A+ to their kids in school.

If Boehner were a conservative leader, King would be stripped of this chairmanship for this.

I would prefer a law that would make it illegal for an elected federal official to come within 1000 feet of an armed citizen, punishable by a fine of $10,000 and 10 years in federal prison.

If King is really concerned about guns, he would tell his security detail not to carry them.

In other words, the RINO King doesn’t want the armed rabble near the nobility??

Calls to Boehner’s office would be in order; he may have forgotten the message sent on November 2nd. November 2nd wasn’t a request for RINOs aka Wannabe Liberals.

Hey, Pete. How about a trade?

We'll stay 1000+ feet away with our guns if you stay 1000+ feet away from our wallets.

Deal?

King has now confirmed his RINO status.

Thus, he has placed himself on the "Needs to be Dumped" list.

Why is it that New York’s and California’s congress critters feel the need to force their warped visions for gun control on the other 55 states? If they want stricter gun control in their state, they are free to pass whatever legislation they want to put to the test in the courts, but why must they try to force it upon the rest of the nation? If Chuck Schumer doesn’t want New Yorkers to be able to purchase but 1.27 guns per blue moon or some other silly rule, why does he demand that it be the same in Texas? %#*& you very much, Chuckie.

“knowingly carrying a firearm within 1,000 feet
knowingly
The law is unenforceable.”

Arrest
Lose your job
Lose your guns
High bail
Sell house to pay lawyer

By the time all of those happen, does it really matter if you ‘win’ in court?
