The University of Arizona was responsible for the T-shirts and the cheering crowd.

Let’s give blame where blame is due.

The University of Arizona got the phrase on the T-shirts from Obama’s Organizing for America, the Jumbotron flashed APPLAUSE at just the right moments in the speech.... did the officials at the University know exactly where the applause lines in the speech were??

Yet the "together we thrive" theme was from Obama's Organizing for America 2008 campaign (source). Obama's fingerprints are all over this.

I thought the DNC was responsible for the handing out of the T-shirts.

It appeared as if Obama did not have control of his staffers in this situation. Obama could and should have done more to control them.

I wouldn't be 100% sure of that. There is a good chance that some Obama administration or campaign committee influence was wielded and that money was funneled through the back door.

At the least it deserves to be investigated.

Why the suspicion?

For one, the "Together We Thrive" logo printed on the T-Shirts is an old slogan recycled from Obama's Organizing for America:

Theme of “Together We Thrive” T-shirt came from Obama’s Organizing for America

Don’t tell me that all that hoopla did not have to be run by the Presidential staff for approval.

They could have nipped it in the bud, but then their campaign kick-off would not have been as appealing to the mind-numbed masses.

You, my dear, seem to have been drinking the Koolaid.

Sorry, Bozo could have stopped the cheering anytime he wanted too. He loved every minute of it. If you think he didn’t know anything about the t-shirts beforehand than you are truly delusional.

It seems peculiar to me that with the security involved in protecting a President of the United States, a rally like this would be pulled off without knowledge beforehand by the Secret Service. I don’t think it was a surprise to obama.

RE: "Give blame where...."

Actually, the POTUS/TPIC/TOTUS moves in a very protected cocoon. Nothing is allowed near him that is not approved by him or a very senior advise. Nothing

(I worked with security details in my previous career)

Look, if I thought for a second Obama gives a crap I might come close agreeing with you. But since when do I care if he does or doesn't. It makes no difference. A speech is not going to deter him from his agenda and I will not support anything he does...he's the worst Pres. we 've ever had. So no, not giving him an inch..he wasn't there because he gives a crap...he was there because it was advantageous to him to do so. No secret he held this at a University..and with purpose.....he's a cad and this was just another opportunity for him to feed his ego from the students...and a huge PR move. That's it.
