May be intended to prevent mass GOP walkout too. You can bet the RATS are up to something.

Done!

Just wanted to write your office a note to voice my opposition to Sen. Udall's proposal that Democrats and Republicans sit together as one crowd during the State of the Union speech.

This would only benefit Obama.

On TV it'd look as if everyone in the crowd was in support of every 'clap-worthy' phrase. It would visually camouflage the huge numbers gained in the House by Republicans.

In principle, was this ever suggested during Bush's last two years in office (or at any other time during his Presidency)? Why this sudden willingness to show unity, when for the past two years, law after law was shoved down our throats?

I haven't heard of many Republicans going along with this idea, but I hope that my congresswoman won't fall for this Kumbaya trap. Please represent conservatives by continuing to oppose these efforts at masking their beaten party through this 'unity' and 'return to civility' garbage. As speaker Boehner said last March, let's not just become the party of No, let's become the party of Hell No!

Thanks for your work in the Congress so far!

Regards, ...

I’ve always figured McNuts plays nice with dems so he can get facetime with the media. It’s pure vanity on his part, a sin in and of itself.

I’ve just sent a letter off to my Senator and Congressman. Please everyone, do the same if you are fortunate enough to have conservative reps.

I believe that they should do away with State of Union Speeches.
When Jefferson came into office he would just send to Congress a written SOU.
For 100 years until the advent of the modern Presidency starting with Teddy Roosevelt, I think, then we had the boring annual speeches to Congress and the Nation.
I won’t be watching as I find all of this extremely Boring!!!!!
