[history]
A proposal by Senator Mark Udall, D-Colo., for bipartisan seating during the annual State of Union address is picking up support. The plan, that would sit Republicans, Democrats, and Independents should-to-shoulder during the President's address, is getting the thumbs up from both sides of the aisle and even right down the middle.

Typical of the Dems who have lost the House to want to blur the lines.
Larry Sabato said today that it is important to keep the line of distinction between the Republican and Democrat in the room. It gives the people watching what stand each party has during the speech.
Duh.

I cannot believe the GOP is SO stupid as to fall for this blatant attempt to help Obama by making it appear that his applause is universal. Do they really not get this?

They stayed on their respective sides after an organized, enemy attack on the US claimed thousands of lives. They stayed on their own sides after a member of the same enemy donned the uniform of an American soldier to ambush and murder more than a dozen real American soldiers. They can damn well stay on their own sides after a lone lunatic killed far fewer.

Boehner controls who sits where. Reid has no say in the House chamber. John needs to torpedo this NOW, before it gains any further traction in the media.

The following day on MSPMS: "You might be telling this audience now that you disagree, but here is the video of you applauding in approval when The Won pledged that he will this year completely break the back of the free market capitalist system." (End Clip) "It's clear to everyone who is fabulous on this panel that you were in support of the Won; now how do you explain that Mr. Republican?" Token RINO: "Um, I was just reading my blackberry and was reacting with my esteemed colleagues." MSPMS: "Likely story; he certainly flip-flops on issues doesn't he dear viewers?. Don't fall for it RINOs !

Right on!!!...
and if the Republicans don't stand when the Democrats do it will be reported in the liberal MSM and by the pundits as divisive...mean spirited..etc....A weeks worth of useless fodder for the 24/7 media....same as the vitriolic finger pointing of the Giffords fiasco..
Its a lose-lose for the Dumb Republicans

It’s not a lose-lose, if only the Republicans would simply stop pandering to the media left.
Just do what’s right, and stand firm.
It’s not complicated.
To: caww
interesting how the Tea party reaponds. Maybe when the RATs start to clap, the TEApublicans can assault them.

What’s so darn annoying is not knowing what the Republicans will do...they are so unpredictable anymore as we never know if they’re going to put their tale between their legs or stand for what we put them there for. It is aggrivating to say the least!

Just trying to stir up a little hate and maybe incite some violence on the RATs.
You know how conservatives are.

Skip that.
There is no reason what so ever to pretend we are not of different and varied opinions, clique’s and parties.
But I propose if they do sit together they play “We are the world” before the SoU.

The question is will the Republicans follow or lead with the victory they won? or hand it back to the Democrates thru this “visual show”. IMO they’ll be bending to the will of the Rats if they do this.

Baloney... the left will see it as a conquest .
To: tobyhill
I do hope our new speaker can stop weeping long enough to put a stop to this. It’s just designed to give Obama a better show.
