ABC Exclusive: Jared Loughner Radically Changed Before Alleged Shooting, Friend Says
ABC News ^ | 1/9/2011 | LEE FERRAN, JASON RYAN, EMILY FRIEDMAN and RICHARD ESPOSITO

A longtime friend of Jared Lee Loughner, the suspect in custody following the murder of six people in an apparent assassination attempt on Arizona Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, said there was a mysterious, significant change in him a year before the shooting.

-snip-

"I don't know might have caused him to change, but from the way he was talking to me on Myspace... you can see. It was just questions and questions and random, weird questions that didn't go together," she said. "He wanted to know everything... He would just trip out.

"I don't know why it didn't jump out at me, like, 'Hey, something's wrong."

-snip-

One Pima Community College student, who had a poetry class with Loughner later in his college career, said he would often act "wildly inappropriate."

"One day [Loughner] started making comments about terrorism and laughing about killing the baby," classmate Don Coorough told ABC News, referring to a discussion about abortions. "The rest of us were looking at him in shock ... I thought this young man was troubled."

Another classmate, Lydian Ali, recalled the incident as well.

"A girl had written a poem about an abortion. It was very emotional and she was teary eyed and he said something about strapping a bomb to the fetus and making a baby bomber," Ali said.

Suspect #2 was determined to be the taxi driver who drove Loughner to the store. They went inside together so Loughner could get change to pay the driver.

Suggestions?!! SUGGESTIONS?!!!!! ~ they'll tell you themselves. They find relief in alcohol ~ and they have their favorite blends.

Then there are the blue pills, or pink pills, and sometimes the invisible pills ~ they don't work at all they say!

The only way to prevent stuff like this from happening again is to legalize drugs.

Yes, families go through hell..

And society offers nothing to support them, mental hospitals and commitment having basically been abolished .... by the left.

“This kid Jared was no doubt mentally ill. I have no idea if his parents tried to get him help but if they did sometimes no matter what you do it isn’t enough.”

Once they can no longer paint this kid as a right-winger, he’ll become a poster boy for Obamacare. No doubt his parents couldn’t “afford” treatment because of the evil insurance companies.

From the article entitled ‘Arizona Gunman Passed FBI Background Check on FoxNews.com:

“Loughner lives with his parents in a Tucson neighborhood that one neighbor described as part of an area that is notoroious for ‘stash houses’ for Mexican gangs to bring drugs into the U.S. and store them.”

“Nothing like this has ever happened in this neighborhood. We’ve had a number of good DEA busts,” Jon said.

This also just happens to coincide with the White House DELAYING the implementation of a clampdown on Mexico border gun dealers. The Administration says its because of pressure from the ‘powerful’ gun lobby.

Maybe...But it would also benefit Mexican drug lords as well.

&&&
And, by law, once a person turns 18, he and not his parents get to determine whether or not he gets psychiatric care. Unfortunately, the insanse person often does not realize he needs the help and will not seek it.

She worked for Pima County if I read the reports correctly.

I bet my property taxes (up 12% this year) pay for a pretty good plan.

No one seems to know what the husband did though.

He is a grown man.

The school did not send him home with a note - He was suspended and the police visited his house - which suprise! - happened to be his parent’s home to tell him not to return to campus.

Later the school mailed him a letter to show the things that he had to do to return if he so wished.

We have a Constitution. It specifies that a person is guilty of a crime *only* when he or she has been found guilty by a jury of his peers. We don’t have kangaroo courts that grab a person who’s been seen committing a crime and then subjecting them to immediate punishment.

He is a suspect, legally, until after the trial and guilty verdict. He is “alleged” to have committed the crime. He will get a trial. His guilt will be determined then. The news organizations are being nothing more than accurate in their description.

It’s not always satisfying, but that’s the way our legal system works: innocent until proven guilty.
