Outgoing GOP congressman: 'Credible conservatives' not about Obama 'hatred'
The Hill ^ | 12/31/2010 | Bridget Johnson

Posted on 12/31/2010 8:22:08 PM PST by speciallybland

Outgoing Rep. Bob Inglis (R-S.C.) said Thursday that a "credible conservative" movement that doesn't focus on "hatred" of President Obama is needed.

Inglis was defeated in a landslide by Trey Gowdy in the June primary runoff. Gowdy, a staunch conservative and Tea Party favorite, went on to win the 4th District seat in November.

Inglis lamented on CNN that the current wave of populist conservatism is unlike that of Ronald Reagan.

"We'll get through and we'll get back to optimistic conservatism," he said. "We just got to get through this unfortunate period."

The congressman said he was wounded in his campaign by not joining "in the real bitterness toward the president."

"I don't call him a socialist because he's not," he said. "I don't doubt that he was born in Hawaii because he was. I don't call him a Muslim because he says he's a Christian. And I didn't say anything about death panels because there weren't any in that health care bill."

BUT, he is a Socialist Muslim Fraud. The HI birth issue is pointless, because if BH Obama Sr. is his father he is not a NBC and not qualified for office. If someone else is his father, he is a genuine bast__d!

“optimistic conservatism”

Kissing cousins to “kinder and gentler” and “compassionate” conservatism.

Just wow.

Okay dimwit. How about this...I can hate his frigging guts, because he wants to destroy the best health care in the world.

I can detest him personally because it is his aim to take money away from me and my family by deliberately driving the cost of energy so high that the economy tanks, and we lose not only our jobs but our mobility and freedom.

I can damn him to hell because he wants to destroy the military by pushing through DADT repeal.

I could go on and on, but do you get the idea you liberal, RINO dipstick?

Wrong. While a strong, fighting conservative is needed, that conservative and the entire Repub party had better take serious aim at what and who Obama is, and what he has done, is doing, and plans to do to this country.

Big time!!! If Obama’s agenda is not attacked firmly, he will not be defeated.

So I respectfully disagree with this losing Repub.

Sounds just like another pathetic stooge who is lobbying for an Obama post. Plentiful pickens. I’m sure he will be grateful for any offered to him. Relieved he is another useful idiot out of office. Worried that he will be given a position where he can do additional harm.

At some point, morons like Inglis and those around him must realize that we're not "holding hands" with the enemy anymore. Moreover this, we'll cut their hands OFF if we can get away with it. This isn't "nice" anymore... not even close.

Whew... This idiot is clueless.

First, OF COURSE Ubama is a socialist. Has Inglis been drunk for the past two years?
Second, Ubama has fought relentlessly to cover up his past, including his birth certificate, so how could Inglis be so sure where he was born?
Third, Inglis is right that Ubama is no Muslim (except maybe in his genes) because Ubama was raised an atheist by his avowed atheist mother.
And fourth, yes, there ARE death panels in Mengelecare. Try reading it, Bozo.

Anyway, congratulations to this assclown's district for flushing him down the toilet.

A truly remarkable showing as to how BHO was able to become POTUSA and how/why he has been able to fend off eligibility contesting. It is noteworthy that a Republican will/would put his persnal opinions out to stop answering a Constitutional dilemma from many of his voting peons and not even going out to substantiate his private opinion. Shows the disdain and disregard some elected officials have for their electors. I have one.
