Got to admire the tenacity and boldness of the fascists who now rule us...Shame that there isn't a single republican with the same...All of the republicans have assumed the ankle-grab position since the election. After all, they got some of what they really wanted...perks & power at the feet of their masters...

Watch the GOP performance in a couple of weeks...They'll read the former Constitution as a feeble symbolic gesture to the millions of citizens who worked their collective butts off to get them elected, then it will be back to business as usual...

Amazing how everyone seems to have forgotten how much of our former freedom & liberty were irretrievably lost while the GOP controlled congress and the WH...

Why do taxpayers have to fund conversations that probably already take place without government regulation?

The picture in context:

I am a Marine...defender of freedom against tyranny

and when I enter the valley of death

and the angel of Satan appears at my shoulder

I will be resolute and fear no evil

And my Lord in heaven will guide my sword

I found their terminology misleading during the health care debate and I find it confusing now. Why can't they just say "LIVING WILL"? Isn't that what they are talking about? Am I reading it wrong?

Society has used the term "Living Will" for decades to dictate our end-of-life wishes. I think the administration is simply proposing to have doctors counsel people about that option. It could be done during the annual physical, which would be paid for by Medicare. So, why does there have to be a provision that allows payment for the counseling service?

Doctor: "Have you considered what you want done if you should become incapacitated with no hope for recovery and someone else has to make decisions about keeping you alive?"

Doctors could pass out written Living Will information. The administration makes it so hard by talking all around the issue instead of being straightforward.

Now, I am going to sound really paranoid! I think their main concern is that they don't get in the way of attorney's fees associated with the writing of these wills.

“Freedom is Slavery”—a famous line out of the famous book “1984” and a must-read if you have not already.

Expending funds not authorized by the US Congress is illegal. I believe Boner will call them on it too....

Doctors and administrators trying to collect on that sick Death Panel lucre will find out what the word

ZOT!

means.

"The longer this goes unnoticed, the better our chances of keeping it.”

This quote from the article really should be the new slogan for the Obama Administration.

I'm sure it's just a coincidence this was released when it was least likely to be reported on, or noticed by the public if it was. Move along, nothing to see here ...

A dichotomous depiction of self and selfless.

Very good call.

Notice how the corners of Obama's mouth are turned down in distaste. He can't hide his discomfiture.

A man like Obama should never rise above knee height when he is in the same room with a hero like that. Call it natural precedence.

Good point. We should help them get more notice when they do stuff like this.

Sarah ought to call attention to it ..... with a scythe ....

We can be assured the Demonrats would follow the hyocritical example of Ted Kennedy just like they pay their taxes. Palin can hit them again for their death panels and no more medical advancements because they want to send everyone else to their grave.

And last year PolyFact (a subdivision of the St. Patersburg Times) gave Sarah Palin the “Lie of the Year” award for her use of Death Panels. I am sure they will be issuing a retraction. lol.

First, the St. Petersburg Times should change their name to the Stalingrad Times. The sweet sounding name "PolyFact" is the opposite of what it says. When I heard a spokeswoman say they had the House Representative Alan Grayson as one of their panel member/contributors, I wanted to laugh at the utter hypocracy. That bahstid was caught BLATANTLY lying in a campagne ad against his opponent in the 2010 election (Grayson lost BTW after his lie was outed).
